RQ DELUXE IS GREAT!!!

Got mine yesterday!!

It is alot more easier to read, all the updated combat rules have been added. Just worth the money for not having to go through 3 books...

GREAT JOB!!!

Thanks, just wanted to make sure. I'm looking forward to the book so I can finally have everything in one easy package and can let my players hold on to the original Player's book. I hope, though, they will go soft on us for the GM screen, since the tables have changed and it was a waste of money!

Hi @all. Only an occasional poster here. Since i played RQ2nd long ago i was interrested in MGPRQ and bought the Deluxe edition because it seems to all have in what you will need to get a start.

So I got mine yesterday and skimmed through. Looks good so far BUT i'm very disappointed by the quality of the book: the first few pages are already torn half-way out (within the FIRST 30 minutes and i'm very carefull with my books). The bining is pooooor and you cannot even flip the pages and let the book lay open without closing it automatically. So i hope i can read once through before i have a collection of single pages. This book is definately not useable at the gaming table.

Contact Mongoose and they should replace it for you without any hassles.

I've heard similar things about Conan 2e. Hopefully they'll get their binding problems fixed soon. The early slimmer 100-ish page books had binding problems at first, but they seem to have taken care of as they figured out their new printing press. It sounds like 400-ish page books have their own set of issues.

Has anyone else with Deluxe seen this?

I have been planning on recommending this to some people who were turned off by the cost of bying into MRQ originally but will certainly wait until this gets fixed.

Just for the record, the MRQ Deluxe has officially become the "best bang for my buck" on my gaming bookshelf, and is now on a very short list of "game systems that give you everything you could possibly want in one cover," an even MORE coveted award for my money.....

This book frickin' rocks!

Does this mean we will see the MRQ version of KOL on your site soon? ;)

As someone else said, drop us a line at rveal@mongoosepublishing.com and we will sort this out for you ASAP.

The binding issue affected a limited number of books, and has now been completely resolved.

Picked up the Deluxe Book today in order to get into the new edition and I'm very impressed with both the specific book and this version of the game. Well done Mongoose.

PS. Yeah, the binding on mine is dodgy too. Time to talk to the Mongoose, I feel. 8)

Amazing book and nice to see all three in one big volume. I have them all seperate but I bought this again to support The Mongoose gang and this awesome game. My only minor quibble was that the monster section was not in colour. Only for the sake of how gorgeous the artwork is in colour.

But since I own the single Monster Book this is not a big deal. But again the artwork is great in the book. But Love what you Mongoose Folks are doing! So keep up the good work!
