I think a great idea for a game would be adapting the Conan RPG for the Romance of the Three Kingdoms setting or Water Margin. For those not familiar with the subject, both are incredibly popular Chinese novels that are incredibly well known in Asia. If you've ever played Dynasty Warriors, you're playing in the Three Kingdoms setting (which is actually 2nd and 3rd century C.E. China). The Suikoden RPG by Konami is based on the novel Water Margin.

I know there's some oriental action games that have come out in the past, but really nobody has done a really good job on representing RPG's in a Chinese setting. Japan is heavily covered, but a great deal of Japanese culture is derived from Chinese influences. Wikipedia has some excellent articles on RTK and Watermargin. I also recommend Kongming.net for some great Romance of the Three Kingdoms material.

Are you talking about a campaign setting/backdrop or as a game system where you are leaders attempting to unify China?

Would love to see a RPG based off one of China's greatest works of literature
Its kinda of sad to see that almost all game manufacturers don't seem to make too many games with Asian flair to it. They ether are oblivious (or down right ignore) that almost all Asian nations have a rich history and culture. These background whould provide a treasure trove of ideas for new games

Here some example of games I would like to see

RPG

1. Romance of the Three Kingdoms-This make a wonderful setting for a RPG

2. Some RPG set in medevial Japan

Minature

1. A world War II Pacific minature rules that actually have the Chinese included-The China front had more Japanese troops invloved than all Japanese troops thrown against the Allies.

2. A game on the Wars of the Samurai

3. A game on the Wars of Ancient China (Qin Dynasty to Ming)

just laying down thoughts thanks
