Resin to Metal - 'Ave Pics!

One is painted slightly different in the area behind the dome on the saucer but otherwise, looking just fine.

We have had the first production run of metals in as well, and there are no complaints - a little flash from the air holes you get on most metals, no mould line marks worth talking about. If you have seen our Noble Armada or Judge Dredd models, you will know what you are getting.

You have said in other places that the big stuff is going to remain resin, the write up with the pictures says otherwise since it mentions making ships in metal then says the C8* and bases will be previewed soon.

Are the big DNs going metal?

I suspect there is an 'except' missing from this sentence:

As many of you will know, we are making a change to the range of Star Fleet models by casting many in metal (the larger models, such as the C8 and Condor Dreadnoughts, and the various bases – the first of which will be previewed very soon)

ie "(except the larger models, such as the C8...)"

I'd say it's the middle one, but I'm very impressed with how they've come out.

They look good, now let's see how they fly...out of Fortress Mongoose and away to their new owners...

Apologies, there should have been an 'except' there. The Federation Dread will be metal, the other two staying resin.

I reckon the Bismarck is the metal one, but only because of the different painting details. Can't see a difference otherwise.

If i had to guess i would say it is the NCC-1761 Bismark. The Saucer looks to be slightly misshapen, not perfectly round, the pewter wont make a perfect circle because of the wight of it. Also the clam-shell docking bay looks like the detail is thicker, this will be caused by the metal not being as thin as the resin.

but this is just a guess, and it still looks really good.
