Resin Brainbug

Mongoose
Saw it in the S&P editorial.
Cheers guys, looks good. It looks like the old one, but as one piece, rather than several that don't really fit! I'll probably get one anyway for good measure though! :)
All the news about the MI flyers is quite cool too. Nice one Adrian!

Is the new brainbug bigger than the old one? Just wondering. :)

On a side note, the 28mm WW2 looks good, will be looking forward to that.
Mongoose Hall should be good! With this WW2 stuff, SST coming up! :)

I thought there was gonna be more of a preview than that :?
Looks alright, but to be fair its a brain bug, the only way its possible to mess it up is if you cast it in two big pieces which don't fit together :D

Resin definatly makes more sense for things like that though, depending on how much it comes too.

I do have to congratulate Mongoose on realising that doing their own WW2 range would be utterly pointless though!

Oh that would be suicide max, everyone knows that. Still, I am not fond of most of the ww2 models out there.

There's enough WW2 stuff out there already and if MGP was going to do their own figs, we would be still waiting in 2015 for any spitfires or me109's. :D

wonder if there are any plans to add some weird war type stuff to the WW2 books.

All you'd need to do would be to use a wormhole to connect it to SST. That'd give you a weird war, wouldn't it?

How about a Brain Bug and a group of Warriors land on an asteroid in the middle of the Ardennes in the winter of '44?

OK, so we'll toss in a few Tiger Warriors and call it "Tigers in the Ardennes". Make sure it is a small asteroid though, as there might not be any trees (or even snow) left to fight through.:D

Hmm, Tigers vs. Tigers. I'd think the Earth Tigers would be ahead here, unless the Brain had a few Blisters to even the score. Warriors to fight the infantry and Blisters for the tanks. The Germans on one side and the U.S. on the other, with the Bugs attacking outwards both ways. "Nuts!" has a different meaning here it would seem.

If the humans won, they'd have some things to think about when they met up with each other. Even though I haven't read the books, this sounds like something out of Harry Turtledove's mind.

That sounds liek a good thing lol.
GORE! :D
haha.

I cant wait to see the new AVP. But meh, if its like the last, I'll hate it.

GAH ON TOPIC NOW.

Ok on topic.

I hope this new model would be easyer than the metal one.

It looks like it will be. The core piece is resin and might be offered in a single-piece cast. All you'd have left then is the legs and "interrogation snout" to fiddle with and then assembly is done. :)

Looks like exactly the same sculpt as the metal bug, but with the main piece all resin. Metal legs and brain-probe.

That's an improvement in my book.

Edit: Chariot bugs could use a resculpt though.

Yep it's one piece resin with metal bits, based on the metal one.

And yes I thought Mr Hanky to :).

There are many on my desk all lined up and it looks like the March of the Turds LOL.
