6) The Horror, The Horror: you suffer a complete breakdown that will require years of therapy to resolve, you can take no actions and will need the number of a good shrink

Kosmetic Control: Kari May can mentally dominate anyone who has used Kari May Kosmetics within the last 30 days. The initial will save is 16 (10 + her charisma bonus of 6). There is a cumulative +1 added for each month that Kari May Kosmetics are used. They must be used for at least 6 hours of each day, 5 days a week for this penalty to apply, and the penalties start after the first month. So the will save would be 20 after 4 months.

The woman who would become the Kari May Kommander was once a simple housewife who wanted nothing more than to be the best Kari May Cosmetic salesperson in the world. Kari May was easily recognized for their powder blue cars, driven by middle-aged housewives in powder blue suits. They were welcomed by other middle aged housewives and recluses and feared by everyone else.

The woman who would become the Kari May Kommander was one of their best sales people. She moved more product in her area than the board of directors thought possible (she lived in a small town in the Midwest with a population of only a few thousand people). She would drive several hours to the towns in her region and sell there. She was obsessed with all things Kari May, she painted her house in powder blue with pink accents, owned a powder blue car, had memorized the Kari May biography, and worked seven days a week selling Kari May cosmetics. She dreamed of becoming their best seller and getting to meet the legendary founder in person.

In the end, her dream came true. The board of directors, seeing one person single-handedly creating a market in a region that they had written off, decided to bring her into the company. They invited her to their manufacturing plant / headquarters to make her the Vice-President of sales for the Middle-Midwest Region. She would get a tour of their headquarters and manufacturing plant and (best of all) get to meet Kari May herself. This former housewife, turned saleswoman was ecstatic. She spent weeks preparing herself for her dream-turned-reality, picking out her outfits, planning exactly what to say, and how to react when she finally got to meet Kari May.

Then at long last the day came. She said her goodbyes to her friends (her husband had left her years ago due to her obsession, she never had any kids) and left for her new life. She arrived at the Kari May headquarters and met with the Board of Directors. They congratulated her and told her about her new job (she was ecstatic of course) and offered her the tour. She was disappointed that her idol wasn’t there, but was assured that she would be attending the banquet in her honor later that evening.

The tour was everything she could have wished for. The headquarters was tastefully decorated, with just the right amount of powder blue and pink. The factory was her favorite part though. It was powder blue and pink and as tacky as could be. Taste had been thrown out the window, no one could mistake this for any other company’s factory. She was in heaven.

As she was being shown the research section of the factory, The Dang happened. Who knew? She was thrown into a vat of experimental make-up, where she remained for several years. When she finally emerged, she was forever altered. The make-up did indeed work as advertised, she had the body of a twenty year old, unfortunately, her face was forever hideously deformed (think evil mutant clown here folks). Needless to say, the trauma has driven her a little insane. She now believes herself to be Kari May and is working to rebuild her Kosmetic Empire (note the ominous “k”).

Not one to let a little thing like a hideous appearance get in her way, she cut two eye-holes in her best powder blue scarf, and set out to see what had become of the world. She quickly realized that most men are dead and the women are in dire need of her product. She quickly set about selling Kari May Kosmetics and became both popular and famous very quickly. She also discovered that she could control anyone who wore her make-up. She very rapidly went from trying to control the make-up market to world-domination.

Kari May, or the Kari May Kommander as she now calls herself, is completely insane. She wants to conquer the world one face at a time. Her Kari May Kommandos are made up of women who are completely under her control. They sell Kari May Kosmetics to any one who will buy them (at gun point if necessary). They are trained in combat and sales; and are not afraid of either. In this post Dang world, a Kari May Kosmetics salesperson is a welcome sight in most communities. Those who have seen what they are truly capable of, however, greet them with gunfire (though many make the mistake of taking the cosmetics from there corpses).

As the only male in Kari May, Dr. Gender-bender would be unique enough if he wasn’t an openly gay cross dresser. He is also the only one who can create the mutated make-up that the Kari May Kommander uses to control her minions. He would be a respected scientist if he wasn’t so creepy. He is an effeminate, middle aged, bald man, with a handle-bar mustache in drag. (There are rumors that he is a pedophile as well, but that hasn’t been confirmed.)

Dr. Gender-bender is both a stereotypical mad scientist and a stereotypical drag queen. He is hated by everyone except the Kari May Kommander, and she only tolerates him because she needs him.

Destra is the president / CEO / and sole owner of Destra Arms. Destra Arms has been owned by her family for generations and was run by the males until she took over from her father. Her father, who made it clear he was disappointed that she was not a son, made plans to marry her off and have his son-in-law run the business (something that had never been done before). Destra became furious at this, she neither wanted a useless male in her life, nor to see the business run by an outsider. She promptly killed her father and her future husband. When her family complained, she killed them as well.

Destra Industries makes weapons of all kinds from guns to weapons of mass destructions. They have a well deserved reputation for quality (and for dealing with those who fail to pay their bills). They will deal with any one who can pay, from the Catholic Church to the Nazis.

Destra is a tall muscular woman who prefers to wear black and red. Her only quirk (aside from doing business with Kari May who has been known to fail to her) is that she is never seen without her golden mask. This mask completely covers her head and face. Only the Princess is believed to know what she looks like without it.

The Princess is really just that, a spoiled rich girl pretending to be a tough villain (but don’t tell her I said so). She was born to rich parents who gave her whatever she wanted, a pony when she was six, a sports car when she was sixteen, a yacht when she graduated from college, anything and everything she ever wanted. When she graduated (read was expelled) from college, her parents were furious. They cut her off, no more money, no more cars, nothing. Needless to say she didn’t take this well.

After the tragic death of her parents, Princess (their nickname for her), met Destra while traveling through Europe (what was left of it anyway). The two hit it off (Destra had the cutest puppy) and became friends. Destra brought Princess into her company and then into Kari May.

In Kari May, Princess found her true calling, information gathering. She has a love for interrogation that borders on obsession. She loves making things hurt and if they can provide her with the location of their home town so that Kari May can send sales people, so much the better.

She just wishes she could overcome her weakness for cute little puppies.

Major Blue is the current leader of the Kari May Kommandos. She is a large, butch woman with a hair-trigger temper. The rumors of her having been a man are untrue (and spread by the Princess). She lost an eye in a bar fight some years ago, but she refuses to get it replaced as she thinks it makes her look tough.

Major Blue has the respect (or at least fear) of the women under her command. She expects them to fight to the last, never surrender, and obey her in preference to anyone except the Kari May Kommander herself. She absolutely hates the Princess and their feud is a near legend within Kari May. Only the Princess and Major Blue knows how the feud started and neither are talking.

Duchess is the head of G.I. Josephine. She was a soldier in the army at the time of the Dang. After the Dang she was recruited by a group of people who called themselves the Homeland Organization Titular Board of Directors or H.O.T.B.o.D. for short. They were tracking a variety of threats to the free world and needed an organization to face them. Duchess agreed, provided she was given free reign in recruiting and confronting these threats. After Duchess found out who the Board members were, discovered there various dirty little secrets, and threatened to expose them, the Board agreed to her terms. Thus G.I. Josephine was born, or G.I. Jane, Duchess hasn’t decided which name she likes better yet.

Duchess is a no nonsense former soldier. These days she wears suits more often than fatigues, but she is still more than capable in combat. She has decided that Kari May is the biggest threat she is currently authorized to deal with (the other threats out there are strictly off limits, much to her annoyance). She is focusing her energy and resources on bringing Kari May down using any means necessary.

Her recruitment policy is simple, prospective recruits are hired for a job. They are not told what they will be doing or who they are going to be working for. They are given their assignment and as little information as possible. They are then watched to see if they can complete the job. If they do, they are then given the option to join. If not, they are never contacted again. Agents who complete the assignment, but do so in no particular style are made standard G.I. Josephine’s. Those who complete the assignment in style will be given a few more assignments to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. If they pass the advanced “audition”, they will be brought in as advanced members of the team and be given more freedom in choosing their uniforms and names. They will also be given a higher rank and more pay. Needless to say, they will also be given the toughest assignments.

These are the leaders of various corporations, governments (and their agencies), and a few military leaders. They decided for their own good (and their own interests) to create an organization to stop those terrorist organization that threatened their clients and constituents. They have little control over Duchess, but do have the ability to tell her what organizations are off-limits to her and her organization. H.O.T.B.o.D. consists of:
The Disco Chick
This former hippie runs a chain of night club / disco’s. She is anxious to see to it that any organization that threatens party-goers is stopped. Blackmail: She was caught in a compromising position with an underage alter boy and a sheep.
The Face
This celebrity is concerned about what effect terrorism will have on her movies (and her career). She wants to see the all terrorist groups stopped and is the most vocal in opposing the other directors in allowing some groups to continue. Blackmail: Known for being a wild child who gets drunk most nights and parties every weekend, this celebrity is actually a shy, quiet girl who goes to be early and does a lot of good works. The real party girl is her twin sister. If the public found out, her career would be over.
The Mogul
This businesswoman is concerned with the bottom line. Anything that threatens her profits is dead. Plain and simple. She owns her own make-up company which is why Kari May is a valid target for Duchess. She also owns or has stock in many other companies. Blackmail: She supports several terrorist organizations. Some are eco-terrorists that are paid to target her rivals, others are little more than thugs that strike out at her enemies and use terrorism as a cover.
The General
This former general runs a weapons manufacturing company. She is a ruthless business woman who is known for selling to anyone who can meet her price. She is the main supplier of weapons to Duchess. Blackmail: She sold to all sides during the Dang. While she is known for her mercenary ways, if the other Directors would turn on her.
The Nun
This high ranking member of the church only reluctantly joined H.O.T.B.o.D. She was ordered to join by her mother superior so that the church could use H.O.T.B.o.D. to destroy the church’s enemies. She is unhappy with both her position on the board and the allies she has been stuck with. She does like Duchess though and thinks that she is an excellent ally in her battle against the forces of darkness (yes, she actually talks like that). Blackmail: She and Duchess are having an affair. This could not only get her kicked off the board, but excommunicated. She is in love with Duchess, but is afraid to ask if Duchess feels the same.
The Demoness
Here on orders from the Devil himself, the Demoness is looking out for number 1 (and that isn’t the Devil). She is using the Board to further her own interests and everyone else be damned. She is trying to determine who her fellow board members are (she knows that Duchess knows, but has had no luck in convincing her to tell her). Thus far she has only discovered one or two of their identities. Blackmail: Duchess has proof that she is working against her boss’s interest in pursuit of her own. The Devil is aware of this, but if she gets found out, he will be forced to act.

It's just something I've been toying around with. I'm a huge fan of G.I. Joe and I've had to deal with the sales people of a certain cosmetics company is several offices I've worked at. And it just seems that they (the cosmetics people) are just a wee bit full of themselves. Ever since I came across MWWG back in the 80's, I've been thinking there's a spin off here.

So, things have been a bit quiet at work the last couple days, so I got some time to work things out. Here's a quick rundown of where everybody comes from:

Kari May - Cobra
Kari May Kommander - Cobra Commander
Kari May Komanndo - Cobra Commando / Foor Soldiers
Destra - Destro
The Princess - The Baroness / Dominatrix Type (I couldn't help myself, she was half way there)
Ninja Bitch - Storm Shadow
Ninja Bitch (Kung Fu Hotty Version) - I remembered my hard copy
Bambi & Candi - Tomax & Xomat
Major Blue - Major Blood
G.I. Josephine / G.I. Jane - G.I. Joe, I'm just not sure which name I like better
Duchess - Duke, based more on the new comic series where he returned as an agent type
G.I. Josephine’s / G.I. Jane’s - foot soldier's
H.O.T.B.o.D - the Juggler's from the new comic series, I just came up with 6 characters to fill out the group
The Disco Chick - no real inspiration here, I just thought it would be amusing
The Face - every annoying celeb I could think of, turned upside down
The Mogul - Bill Gates & Donald Trump
The General - General Flag, with a touch of GW thrown in
The Nun - every one loves nuns, right?
The Demoness - just thought the nun needed an enemy

If you have any ideas, feel free to post. I figured on the G.I. Joe side, I would use the PC's as the Joe's, so I wasn't planning on converting them.

I should probably get some sort of blog or wiki or something to post my ideas on my (Modified) Macho Women with Guns world. I suppose Kari May could fit in in Minnesota, although her group would be competing for space with the Wausau Pact (based in northern Wisconsin) and the Minnesota Mafia.

The Wausau Pact is allied with "Aunt Josephine" from the MWWG sourcebook, but primarily focusses their attention southward against the MATO Alliance based in Milwaukee. So they'd be apathetically neutral in the fight between Kari May and G.I. Josephine, although some could be confused between G.I. Josephine and "Aunt Josephine".

The Minnesota Mafia would be very interested, however, jealously guarding their sphere of influence while seeking to expand it. They are very well equiped, but also very polite.
