thats the thing really, its not their ability to actually shoot at ships that makes me prefer Sentris. As has been noted, they BOTH suck in that respect, but Sentris are just that little bit more likely to survive defensive fire against them for things like scanners to full or if they win a dogfight in antifighter range etc etc.

To begin with exclusively Raziks but the Hull 2 really got to me and most things just shot them out the sky fairly easily...

I end up playing with a mix of Sentris and Raziks for much the same reason the Locutus does. Occasionally...very occasionally...I've fielded Rutarians!...mainly because the model is so cool though.

well it only came up with scanners to full, if playing against the narn you can attack their scout with even sentris (not that you can survive the e-mines), or against the brakiri no need for scanners to full, just stopping their fighters getting to you.

I think it depends on who you are fighting against, I'd only consider taking raziks against an opponent who has better dogfighters than the sentri, so thats minbari, isa and possibly EA starfuries.

On the other hand, sentris have a little extra survivability and firepower, and against league races, and possibly narn I'd use the sentri. But I think its a question of personal preference; and I like both, and as you can interchange them for free its nice to surprise your opponent who thinks he's facing a sentri flight and you get an extra +1 on your dogfight.

Now if you are asking me about purchasing seperate patrol choices of raziks; I'd then say you are insane, as I'd rather have sentris or have a maximus as a skirmish choice. Again, all person preference, and your fighting style.

Against narn, with their sodding e-mines, I don't bother deploying my fighters and I certainly don't buy them as extra choices, I use maximus and lure the enemy fighters into carefully laid trap . . . . . . teeeeehheeeeeee

"Anti-fighter guns? Are you serious?"

:D :D - "deadly serious my narn slave!"

If you are catching fighters in 'anti-fighter' gun range/arc, you are fighting a very poor opponent. I might see a reason to run my T-bolts under such guns once in a great while but never otherwise... and since I move last I must have been the one to put them there.

I suppose you could trap them in a dogfight you intend to lose if you won initiative... can't think of another scenario.

Agreed. I wouldn't throw my Frazi's against a Maximus unless it was the only ship left on the table. Generally a Sullust will end up being the ship I go after due to it's Hull 5 being a bit more open to the Frazi's guns. Or Corvans where I can negate the stealth and feed on Hull 4.
