Raziks and Sentris

This is mostly for Centauri players (hence the wording of the poll) but if you find you always face a certain type of Centauri fighter feel free to chip in

I am leaving out Rutarians as they are bought seperately. I want to get an idea as to which of the two freebies get used most

Please give a reason as to your choice

raziks always - centauri are usually outnumbered by enemy fighters unless facing minbari and so need the better dogfighters.
plus you need something thats better than a starfury since their armageddon upgrade. previous to armageddon sentris were more useful as they were able to out dogfight starfuries.

I am sure you are aware I play Narn, however when i face Centauri I usually face Senti's, admitedly, if I take an e-mine armed ships, they rarely get launched. I can say in all honesty I do not know why my oponents choose them

I have played Centauri (against them) many times and have often consider starting a fleet myself. I would (and have faced primarily Sentris) the reason for this is that whilst Raziks are better dogfighters the Sentris are already excellent and are actually marginally useful in an anti ship role too. Also you get Sentri minis in the fleet box....

mixture of both but like Raziks best due to the dogfight - especially as it gives me more of a chance against ISA!

Of course it does make Vorlon and Shadow fighters target drones...............

Rasiks all the way the bonus to dog fight is just soo much better than the loss of AD

Definitly the frazi serious damge to capital ships and good hull value.

Raziks are far superior, cause of the dogfight.
In our house rules i use Sentri's but even then its close but with the current rules i found the Razik better by far.
To the Gorith question, you might use a Gorith if e-mines weren't so dominant & depending on who you were fighting but the 4AD Frazi is hard to go past , if the Sentri was 2AD normal, might consider using them. If the Rutarian was 2 AD Normal instead 2 AD,Weak i might consider them worth it as well.

Razik's. It's not like either the Razik or Sentri is actually going to hurt something so I might as well ensure I keep enemy fighters down as much as possible.

On the Narn in, Frazis without a doubt. I like to think of them as one shot(sometimes two shot) 4AD guns. E-Mines are are my dogfighters of choice. At lower priority engagements where I won't have E-Mines I might consider a Gorith. On the other hand at low priorities hulls are so low that the Frazi might still be the better choice.

I use a mix of Sentris and Rasiks. Mostly for every 2 or 3 Sentris I do a rasik. They are mainly handy when fighting raiders, EA, or even some league races.

I do love sending Rasiks against Pak Fighters. Its like fishing with a grenade in a barrel.

I'm with Celisasu. Raziks are my fighter of choice because neither the sentri nor the Razik are much use against capital ships. Better to go with the one that does the best job of keeping the more potent fighters (Thunderbolts, porfatis' etc; ) away. Especially since the Centauri don't have much of anything else to get rid of fighters.

Raziks.

If you're going after ships with your fighters and you have a Sentri, you've taken a knife to a gunfight and deserve to have that 1 VP/flight taken from you.

Raziks. Both are lousy in a bomber capacity, and the Razik is a superior interceptor. I have still not totally decided if Sentris are a better Scanners to Full prospect though.

thats the thing really, its not their ability to actually shoot at ships that makes me prefer Sentris. As has been noted, they BOTH suck in that respect, but Sentris are just that little bit more likely to survive defensive fire against them for things like scanners to full or if they win a dogfight in antifighter range etc etc.

scanners to full is usually against minbari - who have AP mini beams so kill sentris or raziks on 2+ as they are AP and 1s always miss.
