Anyone have any house rules from using automatic weapons in 2089?

I realize this like beating a dead horse in some d20 circles, but I am looking for some input on the use of 2 or 3 round bursts.

Would this fall under rapid fire attacks? Seems to me that a 3 round burst would count as only one attack...but how would one calculate the damage?

Just looking to hear some ideas that maybe floating around out there.

If you are talking about Automatic weapons as far as for personal use, yes, machine guns and automatic rifles are simply rapid fire projectiles. It's best to stay away from burst modes in A2089. Because a round of rapid fire, is a three round burst. If you actually want burst attacks, then you take a penelty to attack roll (usually -2) and add a dice of damage. Mek weaponry should never be modified for burst firing. So its best to stay away from it. Just give your players rapid fire pistols and see how you like it.

Oh yeah, I should have specified that it personal weapons I was talking about. I intended to leave WarMeks the way they are.
