Quick Reference Chart forSkills

I was hoping to get a sanity check on this — I haven’t found a solid quick-reference guide for which characteristics are typically used with each skill in Traveller 2E. I understand that modifiers can be situational and depend on the context, but I wanted to create something based on the examples in the core rulebook (2022). What are everyone’s thoughts on the table below?

Honestly, attribute is so situational I would put more effort into grokking how to select them (Carouse/DEX? Language/SOC? I can see both of them) than into counting cases.

Not sure recon, gambler and investigate have specialisations. But I like the overall reference chart. I have produced similar for my game.

You do you, but even with the typical tasks, situations might call for a more suitable stat, or a choice between them.

Working out how to open an alien hatch: Mechanic INT or EDU
Trying to manipulate the opening mechanism once you failed to work it out: Mechanic DEX or INT
Actually opening the hatch by brute force once the previous attempt failed: Mechanic STR or END
