Quick question: Using weapons on drones

When firing a laser cannon from a remote operated vehicle
Do I use Electronics (remote ops) or Heavy Weapons (vehicle), or a task chain?

By analogy, since turrets are often remotely operated, I'd go with the Heavy Weapons skill.
The task chain might be more appropriate for, for instance, the driver, though.
But that's interpretation, the example in the core book pretty clearly points to use of Remote Ops for "control" which seems like it would be for driving or "remote hands".
But the more I think about it, the more I like your task chain for all of it.

As far as I can see you use the Electronics(Remote Ops) skill to operate drones.

As a house-rule I prefer to use the normal skill, in this case Heavy Weapons. To involve Remote Ops I use the lower of Remote Ops and Heavy Weapons. It's clunky, but works, and does not add any additional dice rolls.

I would certainly not want to make it an advantage to have the gunner remotely, as a task chain would prove to be. It would almost be a default +1 DM for remote ops with reasonable skill levels.

Chaining them is not a bad solution, for all tasks conducted remotely.

I'm pretty sure I'd like a surgeon who's equally skilled at remote operations, as well as local ones, doing my appendectomy while social distancing.
