Questions from the new armageddon tournament pdf

No.

When considering the Sag, remember that is now limited to the Early Years EA fleet - with the consequent reduction in initiative. That probably isn't goint to deter anyone who was planning to use the 10 Sagi fleet, but it is a slight reduction in capability.

Hi,
crap, I've just cleaned 2 of them last night to go with my 3rd age fleet.
Guess its off to e-bay for them.

I know, I spent Saturday afternoon fiddling around putting gun barrels and aerials on a hyperion only to realise I couldn't use either of the skirmish variants in my fleet. :(

LOL...sorry Greg...I can just imagine a Homer like 'Doh!" coming from your house

Hi,
is there any more ships out of the 3rd age list. Please tell me I can stil use the oracle and Nova. The nova is one of my favourite EA ships, behind the Omega.

Gazza

Big Gazza, I "think" the third age fleet was listed in last months signs and portents, only the ships really, not all the stats, but it will at least tell you what you have.

<speech>Next up, expect the Prefect nightmare, Nah-Sulusts-need-to-be-busted, here comes the Dawning of the Age of the Tertius, how many Ka'Tans would you like today, sir?, the Kavila that dwarfs the simiarly priced Avioki, and welcome to Targrath Hell.

Well the Kaliva is just a capable ship to be fair. The SFOS Avioki is a joke for a battle ship.

A couple of minteresting points have been raised here:

I thought posting them here might help in getting an answer.

Hi,
I won the German Championship in ACTA and as the winner I got the Armageddon book. I read it now from the beginning to the end :)
And I think there are also some mistakes in it :(
Will there be an official correction on the Homepage?
Patrick

There will probably be a thread with all the typos and corrections people have found, once Armageddon is in general supply. Maybe an official PDF too, depending on the severity of the errors.

Geekybiker,

I wasn't unhappy with the Kaliva! It's that, I agree, the Avioki in SFoS is a sick, sick joke. The Kaliva is brutal against non-interceptor ships, and brutally poor against those with interceptors....

... while Rock-Paper-Scissorsy, I can deal with that. The Avioki ... well, is it Raid+, or Battle-? We report, you decide!

Does the tournament PDF note that the Tournament list Avioki is now official?

If not... bugger...

No it doesn't

There are a few tournament list ships that we all wish would have made the grade as "official" replacements such as the G'Quan and Avioki and one that did - the White Star. Oh well, time to make a few points to Matt tomorrow :)

It's possible that there are changes in armageddon proper that are not being impleemented in the tourney, for example, the Victory is as is in SFOs for the tourney, but I'm reasonably sure it's going up to Armageddon in Armageddon proper
