Questions for my current Elric campaign

I have started my campaign at last and we are playing 'Of Promises Broken' from CotYK. I have interpersed it with my own character driven campaign which remains nameless but the theme of which is the choice between redemption and damnation for the player characters.
It is my intent to use the epic ending that Loz suggests and I want to run a few things through the Elric fans here.
1) Argimiliar is slipping into decadence under King Jiku. In earlier editions, the southern provinces were portrayed as more strongly linked to Law. Loz indicates that Andlermaign is the source of much of the chaos which now infects the kingdom.
I have taken it that Andlermaign is a medium sized city and a bastion of Law placed close to the seething chaos that lies beyond Dorel. It contains a fortress and monasteries dedicated to most of the Gods of Law and the Knights of Tovik are particularly well represented to defend it against incursions from said seething chaos.
I have also decided that Duke Hozel's Lawful monastery was located here.
There is an strong but insidious chaos presence, probably the Silent Watchers but also(based on a single line from CultsotYk)Vezhan.
Is there anything in canon which was negate any of this?

Also, Shaarila is a wingless woman of the Myrrhyn. The Myrrhyn warriors who appear at the battle outside Sequaloris are winged. Have we looked at this wrongly all along? Is it the case that the females are wingless and the males winged? Is there another point of reference that I am missing?

Given Shaarila's shame at her lack and her obvious desperation to gain wings, I think its almost certain that being wingless is not common or desired for females of her race?

Not that I recall, so its really up to you to develop it. I do like your ideas around Duke Hozel.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Loz.
I have decided to make him the hereditary ruler of Andlermaign, raised following the death of his father(during his minority) in a Lawful monastery.
I am sort of thinking of southern Argimiliar as being quite similar to the American west. Andlermaign is a bit like a Texan cow town(in some respects) and the journey north to Cadsandria is like the Chisolm Trail. The commanches and banditos are represented by whooping Dorelite chariot warriors and sneaky Pikaraydians.
At the end of your CotYK campaign you line up a potential battle royale. I was thinking though, that while Malagan has much influence with the governor of Ryfel that only a small number of Black Guard would be available for this further venture. I have decided to add a Dharijorian mercenary company(The Crimson Blades) and a large Pikaraydian warband to boost the numbers of the force. The Pikaraydians are from the chaos clans. They hope to gain favour from Pan Tang for their help but inadvertantly discover that they have weakened their own position(and that of the Governor) at Ryfel.
I thought that a couple of hundred assorted warriors of this type would not be permitted to dock at any Lormyrian port or in Raschil and so they would have to travel overland.In typical fashion, they could not resist the burning and looting of a few small Argimiliaran settlements.
A survivor makes it to Andlermaign and Duke Hozel sets off in hot pursuit with his bodyguard knights and a sizable contingent of the Knights of Tovik. They arrive at Alorasaz shortly after the forces of Malagan.
Duke Hozel is already starting to manifest signs of the madness that will afflict him later in the saga.
The campaign will be set two years prior to events in Elric of Melnibone.

Forgot to mention that in our first session, the characters were at 'The Shield sent Spinning'. Hop legged Twll was performing. He played a song called 'Aqualung' and another called 'Cross eyed Mary'. :lol:

He does cracking versions of 'Broadsword' and 'Beastie', too. Listen out for his splendid rendition of 'Steel Clakar'.
