I need some clarification on the ship armaments table. I think I asked this before but I can't find a response (if there was one).
Pulse lasers are defined as firing short bursts and more effective at inflicting damage than beam lasers
Beam lasers are described as being better at hitting a target than pulse lasers.
However, in the table, the beam laser does both more damage and has better range than the pulse. The pulse laser is cheaper and uses less energy but this is a far cry from what is described by the definition.
