Proxies for BFE

After seeing Mr. Evil's Skinny Marauder conversions on the Starship Troopers forum, I raided my clix figures for possible other uses. In short, I am going to use some SHIELD Swat miniatures for a faction in BFE< possibly Americans.

If anyone has seen the models I am speaking of, what do you think they would be represesent. So far I clipped them off their old bases and now they are ready to be glued and repainted. I did it with some others. If I can find my camera league I will chart my progress.

Well, proxies are called proxies for a reason so if I felt like it I'd use Warhammer 40K IG's to proxy BF: Evo, because if I like it I'll buy the real miniatures.

So what I mean is, I don't really care what I use as proxies (okay using maybe 40K Orks as SST Arachnids is a little akward but still).

Well, if they look enough like the real troopers (or what they will look like in a few years) then I may use them as an elite unit in the army before the models for that unit come out (assuming the rule book is out before that).

You could use LAMI as proxies for the soldiers with armor. The BFE Grenade launchers and squad machine guns might need special markings or some converting...

The Marvel Heroclix SWAT Specialist does look neat as opposed to most of the other minis from Wizkids.

I just checked the new Horrorclix and the Field Agent looks usable enough (Solid Snake rip of with an AUG as Rookie or Rocketlauncher as Experienced)

I've already undercoated all the hreoclix swat figures I could find (thought I had more...) and some DC Easy company soldiers (don't know what the hell to use them as....).
