Progress on 2e

I have one important question about the refit tables.

You are taking the punishment roll off the Narn refit table aren't you? I don't think it's fair that the Narn are the only fleet with a roll that says "lose all your refits and get a weaker ship".

The Refit Debate brings up another serious problem - The fleets need to be balanced for One-Off Games as much as (if not more than) for Campaigns.

One list to rule them all, etc. Refits and Campaign rules should be gravy.

I dont suppose the third space aliens are making it into the fleet lists for 2e by any chance ?

Only if *I* can play as them!

Seriously, do we NEED another uber-race? Do we NEED ACtA to try and fill the gaps of the 3rd Space Aliens with more of their own *ahem* designs?

No, MP, fix the old people and work on game balance. Work on new races and simple details like that some other time, please?

anyway the third space aliens would either be far too powerful for anyone to win against, or they would be nothing like they were in the film so that others stand a chance, is it really worth it, bearing in mind that the ISD will be a few hours?

Has anyone played against ancients? Howd it go, has anyone won against them yet, and if so, what ships did you have to use?

What about pre-painted plastic ships? :) :) :)

No. Please God, no. The last thing I want are all my ships too look the same.

If anyone is giving my ship a crappy a paint job, it's gonna be ME.

Plus, the change over from metal moulds to plastic, assemble and painted models would leave MP bankrupt... and God forbid people like me suddenly stop playing because of the switch.

I would be interested - dpending on price etc - With no painting talent but also cos they are often a pain to put together..............

Theres nothing stopping you from painting over it. I did it a lot on my old heroclix..
Its just great to have real playable ships out of the box.. :)

I tried doing that when I played "Mage Knight"... and it just didn't turn out right.

Sorry, I don't want assembled and painted minis. It takes a HUGE chunk out of any kitbashing you might want to do or any distinguising details you give to your ships.

I like it JUST the way it is.

Now, if you go to plastic pieces (like Imperial ships in BFG), maybe I will like it. In fact, it will make modding easier.

I (and peobably many people here) don't want pre-assembled, pre-painted minis.

I think many people will indeed want to make and paint their own figures - but personally I want to play the game with more than badly assembled undercoated ships. (Ok so Shadows don't need much more) but my centauri are a little.......pale.

For me it would be great as I also don't like ruining my modela with a rubbish paint job...............
