radar makes detection easier and eliminates or reduces effects of poor visibility.

The "no premeasuring" rule was a matter of some debate amongst the playtest team :)

I understand with VAS, like ACTA. Measuring is done, from centre point to centre point. With the use of Mini's, would it not be more prudent to measure funnel, to funnel. To save on arguments, over where the true centre is?

And it's got the Graf Zeppelin Carrier...

For a ship that never got commissioned she has the best pic in the book......Stukas and all!

Also has Type XXIs, which while a number did get commissioned they had all of one war patrol (I think) between them.

The number of projected ships out there will make for some interesting articles (US super battleships, Russian fleet, Z-plan) for S&P.

Safe to say this beauty will probably be break my personal record from getting hold of a game to playing it yet.

It also improves long range fire by reducing range penalties.

This is pretty cool...whilst I didn’t know it; I’ve been waiting for a reasonably fast [to play] historical naval war game that I can play with my nephew (he’s a wee one) and his father.

Thanks for the preview!

At last, its own forum :)

And I forget to check for a couple of days and so come late to the party :(

It loks good, I'll definitely be buying it.

I'd like to see a modern update too, and also a historical version back to the age of the ironclads...

I would assume Maggie Thatcher got engaged, at one point ;)

Heh heh

Actually I always imagined she just declared to Dennis one day that their wedding had been booked, and gave him a list of the people he was going to invite :)

That counts!

How many Iron Clad engagements were there?
Lots of them between 1855 and 1905, I found a book by Richard Hill called "War at sea in the Ironclad Age" to be pretty comprehensive.

Wasn't there a whole Russian-Japanese war of Ironclads?

Not my period of preference, I have to admit...

Wulf
Yep, 1904-1905, remember the battle of the Tsushima Straits...

the war according to wikipedia:

The VaS system would appear to be ideally suited to a Span-Am / Russo Japanese adaptation (and unofficial work may or may not already have started :) )
