Pre-Battle Damaged Narn help

Hello,
I recently bought a Narn Bin'Tak, and it's a lovely model, but one of the wing(?) pieces on the side is slightly cracked. It's cracked on both sides(top and bottom), but it's not broken all the way through. It will bend, but I haven't and don't plan on testing it's limits.

It will, due to my clumsiness or cosmic happenstance, someday break though. Does anyone have a method, or know a way to prevent this?

I could just break it off, then pin it back on, but if I can preserve it I'd like to. Any ideas?

I can take a picture of it, but it's not a significant brake. But if pressure is put on it, it'll snap.

The crack isn't big enough to put putty inside, and when it's bent into the correct position, you can hardly see it, but if you were to pick it up by the wing (I really don't know what to call it) it would bend by it's own weight. I'll just take a picture.

It's also not a big enough problem for me to ship it back and get a new bit, Waiting for it would bother me more than just fixing it myself, and it'd take more time to do that too. :D I was just wondering if there's a better way than sawing it off, and pinning it.

fake edit: Well, when my camera recharges and I remember, I'll take a pic an post it.

Use a disposable brush and some watered down superglue of the gapfilling variety. the gap may be microscopic, but theres still some room for superglue to seep down in there. run a bead of superglue on each side, the use the disposable brush to wipe off the excess and at the same time, the brushing motion should force the glue down into the gap.

Yeah, what angelus2000 said. Depending upon how far the crack has separated, you'll also want to push it together. As long as it hasn't cracked all the way through, that piece should act as a pin and hold it together with the super glue. I've done this on quite a few of my different figs. It happened to me a lot when trying to bend a mini, that's made from a more brittle metal, back into position. It works like a charm. You may need to do some filing and puttying once it's finished to hide the seam, unless you like the look!

Works on a crack all the way though too, although thats dependent on where the crack is. I've got a Primus mini where one of the outer wings was cracked all the way though halfway down the wing. A few minutes with 2 pairsof needlenose pliers to get it all aligned up and then brush on some superglue. Never had a problem with it since.

You might try warming up that piece and slowly bending it using needle nose plyers. File and fill afterwards with a thick superglue.
Regards,

The cracking comes from the metal being too hot when it is poured into the mold. I have had this happen when I am casting things and once I turn the temp. down all is good. I would e-mail Mongoose and ask for a replacement, especially considering the amount of work you will have to put into it to fix it. My 2 cents.
