PP Fuel requirements

Would have preferred PP >= M-Drive, and a time penalty for J-Drive when PP < jump number attempted (equating to longer time to charge up capacitors).

Thus, a J-1 with a PP-1 would be fine, but a J-3 would take three times as long before jump could be performed...

Not really a major issue though it could be charging while moving out to jump distance. Though could be a problem if you need to jump right away again, say if you have a fast-cycle jump drive and are in a hurry.

Phavoc. Yup, agree there. Also with the Argo. So the crew have a gas cloud of "exotic" particles floating round the ship and are seeing dinosaurs, did someone leave a window open and the crew start breathing those "exotic" particles :D :D :D

Somebody. Time to recharge a Jump drive is mentioned as being at least an hour and a lot more so 1D hours to charge the jump capacitors if the powerplant matches. A Far Trader with J2 and P1/M1 would take 2D hours to recharge. Probably the time it takes to lift off and fly out to 100D but as it takes 1D hours to scoop fuel you may be left hanging around somewhere for hours waiting for your Jdrive to recharge while those nasty pirates play hunt the merchant round the gas giant :D
Probably easier to just lower the fuel use rather than start comletely rewriting the ship design system.

Clearly the dinosaur thing was caused by having hydrocarbons in the "mix"!

I just use a fully errataed version of the MegaTraveller one. (IMHO the one Mongoose should licence)

If that was sold as a redone PDF (errata edited into the books) I'd purchase it all over again.

I would like a mix with the "best of breed" elements of various Traveller versions:

+ The design system from MegaTraveller
+ Chargen either TNE or Mongoose with more choice(1)
+ Basic rules engine Mongoose
+ A basic setting with a "weak" empire like Gateway or a variant of Hard Times/Rebellion without the viral end

(1)No, the point buy is NOT a substitude. Nor what I am looking for

THAT would be great. Hmm... Ponders his Adobe software.

Don't forget the revised PP fuel rules from Signs and Portents #79.

Wasn't that S&P 76 :D

You are likely right. Mind that I'm only confused because I'm too lazy to go and actually check. I think it applies (but then again I wrote it as a counter to the rule in the TMB).
