Plasma Torpedos vs. Drones

Drones? No problem take 4 Kirovs. Put them in a line abreast 6 inches wide. They will all have FH arc to each other. Defensive fire with all of them and you should succeed with 2. Now they shoot one of the Kirovs with defensive fire up, and it shoots down ~10 drones with its own phasers, 3 batches of 4 drones with its ant-drone drones, then the Kirov on defensive fire takes out ~8 more drones with defensive phasers (since they are in phase-3 range as well as phaser-1 range) and takes out 4 with drones (remember to use these last so they don't switch targets on you) and the tractors on the targeted ship take out another. Granted you will have bad turns, but its not like the kirovs can't survive a few drone hits. Since you can move 12 inches a turn with defensive fire, and the board isn't that big you corner them and blow them to pieces.

Or a squadron of 4 DWDs behind your line backing up that pair of heavies. You still have a shed load of ADDs and can play the Kzinti back at their own game with excessive long range Drone fire.

Though four Kirovs in a line is going to be fairly scary till
