My group played a planetary assault recently and have a few questions about some of the new things for 2nd Ed.
1. Ships that are atmospheric - can they fire one arc at the emplacements/troops or can they fire all of their arcs. This came up because I was using Ikortas and they have 4 arcs.
2. Atmospheric ships that have landed to deploy troops - can they be shot at by enemy ships? And if so, do those ships have to follow the same rules for shooting at planetary targets?
3. In regards to question 2 - can atmospheric ships flying in the atmosphere be shot at normally by enemy ships or do the enemy ships need to be following the rules attacking "planetary targets".
4. Can a ship exit a jump point, end it movement on a planet and start the process of landing the same turn it exits the jump gate (as long as a different ship opened the jump point) The rules say it has to be on the planet, no firing or SA and it can land at the end of the turn so it seems it would be allowed but I would prefer clarification.
Thats all the questions I can think of for now.
