It's difficult to nail down precise shades by looking at B5 videos, but what I would recommend is at least two shades. Start with a light shade, then do a wash with dark blue, and probably then dry-brush with light again. And if you want to be really fancy, pick out the windows with gold or fluorescent yellow.

Again, I'd use a combination of multiple shades of grey, with dark wash and light dry-brush to bring out the details. Again, the exact shade probably doesn't matter - different lighting effects during the show and different room lighting depending on where you're playing will mean that nobody should have any reason to complain that your models are the wrong shade. The real fun part will be the engines - fluorescent or bright yellow with red applied very lightly by stipple brush, air brush or spray. Do this before you do the grey hull and frame.

My Drazi were undercoated black, painted fortress grey, drybrushed a lighter grey (can't remember the name) and highlighted space wolves grey. The glowing part was painted white then yellow, then detailed red. The yellow and black part was painted white then yellow, then the black added using a marker pen.

I am a painting n00b, but I think they came out pretty good :)

for my Minbari (and i'm not a good painter) i mixed one part deep purple, with 3 parts mid blue, then put on 3 thin layers over a white base coat and it looked quite nice, the next stage for me at least is to do a very light drybrush green onto the "ribs"

however, if you look in the player resources section above, Court jester has done a minbari painting guide.
