Painting a Victory destroyer

I cannot make up my mind whether they should be painted flat grey or a metallic steel colour. In the show it is pretty hard to tell depending on the CGI lighting.

Can anyone post some examples of ones they have painted so I can try comparing them?

I was going to use something like a tin-bitz (GW paint) color...kind of a brown metallic. Haven't done it yet though, so don't know how it would look.

I will try something similar I think, they look good. Figure I am going to go with a blue & grey combo though.

Sounds good. But with Blue/Gray, don't try for the same contrast. Blue and Gray have a particular tendency tro bland together a bit. I would go for exploiting that.

There are a lot of things I would have done differently had I been using blue and gray...

Yeah, that's why I used ultramarine blue for my engines on my grey EA ships.. it stands out a fair bit.
