P&P overall

Well given the recent debates regarding the Centauri Hunting Packs, I thought I'd post my thoughts about P&P overall.

It's great!

99% of the new rules and ships are brilliant. The Shadow Stalker and Fighter fixes are just right, the new Abbai, Brakiri, Drazi, Psi Corps, Drakh, Vorlon, Vree, Narn, Raiders - all very good changes and additions! Ramming is made easier, Track That Target and Manouver To Shield are in... "small ships" init sinks are eliminated... skin dancing as a cheap ram is removed. FAP changes a great improvement and fighter VPs are finally sorted out. Redundancy is in as an optional rule, though it is quite a lot stronger than most people would like.

So all in all, a great supplement, and great improvement to the game!

sounds great - look forward to getting mine and adapting DR to the chnages as required.

I am presuming even the PSace Stations got fixed :)

be nice to fnish the offical stuff on a high................

Good to hear

I thought I would get one from attending the GenCon event last year... but it got delayed so much I doubt anyone remembers. Not being a freebie I wanted to hear some good stuff before I dropped cash on something a lot of folks have dropped due to rumors of imminent demise.

It all sounds great so far (aside from hunting packs). Burger - you haven't mentioned them at all - are space station rules in there and if so, are they the original playtest set or the updated set we "agreed on" in testing (including planet killers)?

TBH I haven't really looked at space station rules. I'll be making a space station builder for my ship viewer at some point, but so far they're not something I'll be using very often, therefore low priority for me. The basic building rules are the same, I haven't examined the module stats/costs etc.

The planet killer(s) rules are in P&P.

Awesome, that means at least one of the later versions of the rules has been used for space stations :D

This means we might be seeing some space station fun in future games

Yeah I am really looking forward to trying the station rules out.

In fact, for me, this applies to almost everything in P&P.

Well you guys have all convinced me

I have gone and ordered it off the website.

even if I don't get to play ACTA anytime in the near future. (have enough trouble trying to get any sort of game in at present)

call it my last hurrah, before it all ends!

Know what you mean. I don't play the B5 RPG, however have just ordered the traveller B5 conversion books, just in case. + interested in the B5 warships book.

I am intererested in the book but am put off by the travellerness in the previews and have visions of deck plans being very small and mainly dominated by fuel sloshing around all over the place- especially in ships that have few straight lines like Minbari and Centauri ships..........

Not ship fuel sloshing around for the Centauri............ Brivari.

Of course, maybe they use it for ship fuel as well.

One for the ship, one for me.......... etc.

Just received my copy of P&P and had a flick through. The main 3 issues I've noticed so far are:
- The Shadow Omega's layout is messed up (the weapons are down in the Raiders section).
- Track that Target hasn't been fixed.
- The rule about flights making contact with ships is still near enough useless (physically the maximum number of flights that can make contact with a ship is 3 or 4, depending on if you're using hex or square bases - these extra limits will only kick in on the very smallest of ships).

Just got P&P and skimmed through a bit.

looks good sofar, exept that the text from page 79 does not continue on page 80.

And there are no EA-MW era ships from the original E-MW supplement .
