The battleship is obsolete in modern navies, replaced by cruisers and destroyers armed with missiles. The heavy bomber has become non existent in all but the US and russian miltaries, as smaller aircraft can drop higher powered, more acurate ordnance these days. you will of course see throwbacks, the Nova is a great example of a solid broadside a la a napoleonic warship. The Poseidon is a command ship, their is an Omega command ship, is their a hyperion one? i don't know. I don't think the EA needs any more varients, and I don't really see any justifcation for one.
Here endeth my response. I felt it was good of me to explain my standpoint and not just say yes or no. I thank you for reading.

The point is "thread hijack"hiffano said:Target said:If you had a points system, certain ships could have a command rating if you pay some extra points. The amount of points would differ depending on the ship.
but this isn't a points based system (well it is in a very arbitrary manner) so i don't really see the point of this?
Just saying with points you could give some of the options that the fluff says. You could have a Command Nova with out pushing in up a level like a priority system does. The idea of a Command Nova isn't silly but redundant with Command Hyperion or though i would rather have a Command Nova. More likely to stay alive.hiffano said:Target said:If you had a points system, certain ships could have a command rating if you pay some extra points.
