OK Mongoose So how do I order

I think that it's the dark navy blue (which I like) that doesn't photograph very well, and helps to merge the detail of the figures.

I plan on doing mine like that, but will probably drybrush them lightly with grey to get the detail.

They have one VERY GOOD painter. One of the best in the business.

If so, then he has definately not painted that Fleet Landing Party (probably been busy with ACtA models which, in fact, are really well painted).

I'd like to see them painted in the same quality as the standard bearer in the MI Army Book.

You have to remember. Painters have to be paid a damn good salary and MGP just don't need more than one painter.
He has priorities, and SST is one of MGPs lower priorities right now.
Adrian is probably busy with any of the following:
- Painting B5 ships
- Sculpting B5 ships
- Contacting Factories
- Designing new models
- Painting future SST releases.

He definately did paint these, they are in his style, but as a unit, less time is spent on them and it is probably not going to sell many as it is. Perhaps showing them inked on the site would be good too.
I told Alternative armies to start doing that again as well as paint ups and it immediately increased sales for them.
As soon as I get a chance I will probably paint up mine. I'm in the mood for painting SST. Might even print off the rules for that SST adventuring game (like Warhammer quest etc) from S&P.

Yeah, if the remaining Skinnie stuff is good ie brutes done well and marauder done well, I would definitely like to see that. I won't get the brutes, but I would get a marauder or two.

The brutes were awesome. They looked to be sculpted by the guy who sculpted the militia which are also some of my fave skinnie minis.

Do you know if the Marauder had ben scuplted up? The Tawn riders I can live without but the marauder would be nice to have.

I have no idea.
I know Alex was keen on getting one for his own army so I imagine so.
I would personally prefer Tawn Riders though, I like the idea of a brute army over a machine (style) one, we have the forth for that now!

the Venerable Marauder was not far from release when SST was Put on hiatus(a month and a half if i recall correctly). Not sure about the Tawn riders. I really hope they have the Ven. Marauder. Skinnies lack some heavy long-range firepower to deal with things like Marauders and tankers. even the venerables have to allow a tanker or ape marauder within 10 inches to deal with them effectively!!

Tawn riders would be cool, but i'd grab a venerable MArauder long before them.

I have heard that the Venerable Marauder is one of the minis that they are looking to release. Don't know when exactly, but hopefully soon.

I'd just prefer tawn because it is a cooler concept imo.
As I said, machines? Forth cover that.
Marauders? The MI cover that.

I like the idea of skinnies being both advanced and primitive in the eyes of a human.
Or if skinnies do get a walker, definately make it 4-legged like the ones in the concept sketches. 2 legs just looked wierd in the drawings.
I mean, I'm not a big fan of the raider bikes either tbh. Far too reminiscent of EE Eldar! Maybe if the minis were thinner fo the bikes. I'm not sure.
I really do want to make a brute army, that would be really awesome. But I also kind of want a venerable army, however my opponent complains how cheesy they are. I hate having a force that is just made to be as unbeatable as possible, that's no fun.
I don't know. All very confusing.

I saw the guys at the Newbury show at the weekend and i asked about the FLP and there has been a massive mix up in the states so they have to get re-cast so it's going to be a few more weeks till we get the only new figs.

I'm busy with many things these days, but I'll try and get a photo posted of my new Fleet "Squids".

Of course, that means that I'll have to assemble and paint them. :wink:

I can confirm that, since I was affected. I can say though that the U.S. staff responded very quickly. I'm just waiting for the order correction now.
