Nike Class Battlecruiser

Everyone will be happy to know that the entire batch is now complete! I thought it'd be in stages but this is even better. I'll be picking them up on Sunday evening and (if the bases arrive by then) will be shipping early next week. As soon as I get the final product I'll post pictures.

No problems with the casting or anything.

Almost there - woohoo!

Way to Go Urobach! Looking forward to that!

i think this EA Vigilante class cutter or the Lupo class frigate on efni.org is my next project... i like the smaller, agiler EA ships, like cutters, corvettes, frigates and so one.

...and i have scratchbuild a sharlin... I get such a simple EA ship also still... MUUHAHAHAHA  (I hope times  )

OK everyone, here we go!!! The first batch is in. Apparently some models in the first batch are being redone due to some areas being too thin/wings snapping off. Apparently the 'Great Maker' is a perfectionist, that's a good thing!

Here are some pics:

Timeslip tells me the two different colors (grey and white) are the same resin, but one with color added. The Great Maker was working on another project with the grey resin and used it when shifting to this project. All will be primed and painted so no harm done there (I will _require_ everyone who buys one of these to post pics! Nothing will be neater than to see what everyone does with these).

As you can see from the pics there is some excess flash that will need to be trimmed with an exacto, and maybe some filing to make the two body halves line up so they're straight...nothing a little elbow grease won't fix!

I'll begin packaging this week (still getting all of the material). Hopefully the bases will arrive by the end of the week and I can start shipping. I'll be shipping in the order in which payment was received...

Lastly, I'll also include a simple instruction sheet showing where the weapons go. However it'd be cool to see some variants - I already have something in mind using Poseidon turrets!!

I'll post updates as they become available.

Yeah, I was wondering about those fins. But overall the ones you have look really clean for the most part. The flash you're speaking of looks pretty minor, and I doubt anyone who ordered one of these will have any problems dealing with that.
I'm picturing a little pinning to put the two halves together, and figuring a way to get a starfury launch bay under the nose. Maybe I can cut up a chronos, or scratchbuild one somehow...
I'm glad to see the long road near its end. Congratulations on seeing this project through, Prelude, all credit due!!!

Fantastic! I'll admit I was concerned about the quality of the resin casting - I've recently received some rather horrible resin model aircraft which are going to take ages to sort out - but these look spot on.

Congratulations on bringing an ambitious programme to a successful conclusion.

And if that sounds like flattery to get an early despatch of order...that's exactly what it is! :D

But the shipping cost went up? Just asking.
Yes - unfortunately. Cost to ship to the UK is $8.50 (not including packaging material) so I had to bump it up a bit. Haven't even looked into shipping costs to Germany but in the end shipping is something I hope to break even on...
