New units you'd like to see?

Arachnid Beam bugs.

A Forth unit that consists of multiple fighting models, but can combine into a larger fighting machine. I mean, if you go with the anime theme, might as well go all the way. :P

Sounds more like a transformer combiner.

While we are at it though, I think a missile truck would rock for the LAMI.
A beam bug would be cool, maybe smaller than warriors, so you get more in a box, and with a node sort of head. I think something like that would be PL2, maybe even PL3.

Pvt Sugar.

The forts from the second SST movie.

Undead, infected troopers.

The vehicles- ground gecko, water the hovercraft/ boat, and air the wasp packs.

From the CGI, I'd say that we need some of the civilians, the other bugs that were lesser known, such as the evolved mutant bug human hybrid of Zandar Barcalow, more flying bugs, and some more heavy weapons troopers.

I actually really don't like control bugs. I just really dislike how writers handle weird alien menaces in every crappy B movie out there goes for some mind control gimmick. It's overdone, and bugs are just bugs.

The infiltrator I can stomach because it's more a strategic infiltration asset, but control bugs just never fit in to the SST universe for me.

The same goes for zombie troopers and infected. Leave those to zombie movies please.

Hmm.
I like control bugs. We have to remember, SST IS a B movie sci-fi.
Thats why it's fun!
I want to see nicer Skinnie Raider minis, nicer Venerables.
I am really gonna demo this year just to get this stuff. I was quite lazy last year.
Just more skinnies. I would like to see the forth, but I'm repainting them to match the nitty-grittiness of the SST universe. Basically spray em black and attack them with Metallics and wierd alien symbols.
Oh and I bloody well want my Brutes! And marauders!
I would like to see the 4 legged walkers they had in the concept designs though, they looked so damn awesome. Proper Soldier walkers.
Oh and nice slaves.
And me on the design team  .

Control bugs fit, and zombie troopers would be fun, or heck zombie civilians. And Control books were in SST2 and the roughnecks chronicles.

Maybe they could import from other Heinlein books: Revolt in 2100, anyone?

Nooo! Not that one, they were all awful stories. :x Much better Heinlein out there (I still support a making of John Steakleys "Armor").

I vote for Fleet landing parties and more tyoes of LAMI. A few new Exos would go down well too as would new Marauders (and not just adaptions of existing ones).

More and varied Exos, scout ones (with the bug tunneling detector mentioned at the end of the book, to stop the buggers coming up in the middle of your force), a Nuke carrying Exo..... The Exo's could also do with a weapon system capable of taking on the Fenris big mother, target 9 makes firestorms very weak.

How 'bout we get some friggin' aircraft for the MI? You know, like the Slingshot? Anyone remember that deal they were going to offer of two of the smaller transports in the same box? I think there are alot of people who'd like to see a correctly scaled (or darn close) aircraft, cause I know I'm sick of using a Warthog for a Thunderbolt and an Osprey for a Slingshot.

Heck, most of the ideas presented here are just rules changes, not actual models. For the Exos, just learn how to use green-stuff, it's not hard and it's a skill any gamer should at least have some skill in. Different types of Warriors? Use different colors or attach extra bits from the sprue or other sprues. Or green-stuff again.

Landing Party just means different guns a file to get rid of extra armor on the power suits. That and some blue paint. And how many types of LAMI can there be? They are meat shields. Or that's how most people play them as, seeings how they lack any support or hvy wpns platoons to augment their strength. If you ask me, they need mortars.

Sorry to vent like this, but if people are gonna list new things they should list ones that aren't just the same models with a little extra metal and a different coat of paint.

I thought the cliff mite APC/Launcher bug was a good idea though!
I'm on the verge of giving up on the air support really, I'm thinking I might as well make my own once the time and new price has been factored in...
