Really pleased to see the Dreadnought has seperate "boom" Engine for my conversion - good to see the ships to compare as well.

GW resin is rubbish, and if these were anything like that you would want your money back.

It will probably be closer to the stuff that Spartan uses, that's also a plastic/resin mix like GW's AFIK, but it's hard like it should be, and doesn't melt in the sun..

Afraid I must agree with the comments about GW resin - it really isn't all its cracked up to be. The resin used by Spartan is great for what they use it for, I've had no issues with it, it cuts and sands well, and, most importantly, takes paint with hardly a peep of a complaint!

The detail showing in these images is really encouraging! I am so looking forward to going to town on the detail of the C9. Marvellous!!!

In 30 years of gaming and modeling and collecting miniatures made from all manner of metals, resins and vinyl I have never come across anything as cheap and abysmal as finecast resin. So thank goodness this is better.
