Looking to explore more of the Third Imperium?

We have just released three new Map Packs on Drivethru, covering the Solomani Rim, Reft Sector and Deneb Sector. Each comes with a full key to aid navigation and will build up to a collection that will chart vast reaches of Known Space.

You can find all three new Map Packs at;

I would probably buy hard copy if available.

I would definitely buy PDF copies (of these and all previous and future map packs) if they had a printer friendly version included - prints with a plain white paper background; basic grid and planets, names etc in black; and optional layers for colour stuff like zones, trade routes, borders, bases etc.

I'll assume trade routes are X-boat routes.

The subsector maps printed in the books are already greyscale. Could do that for the bases and such, might not indicate ownership but could be workable.

So you would have no background, hexes, subsector border lines, world names, starport codes all switched to black. Waterworlds switched to black, waterless could be just a black circle (aka Alien Module 4: Zhodani subsector maps). X-Boat routes, empire borders, bases could be greyscale. Red travel zones grey fill, amber travel zones black or grey circles.

Would take some work but it is doable.

Wouldn't be too readable on standard paper sizes though one would be better off using some form of large format printer.

...stuff....
For a purchasable PDF map pack of a sector I'd like to see 17 PDF maps included - one full page for each subsector (scaled to print A4 or enlarge to A3, using most of the available page and all consistently scaled so they can be tiled if desired without inconsistencies) and a sector map - scaled to print on a large sheet if you have teh printer available or to tile to multiple pages as an option.

I'd like to see layers used on all of teh maps for X boat routes, bases, borders, names/labels, and the map grid (and more of less everything on the map in fact) so you can customise as requried when printing.

A product like this I would pay for. A single page PDF with no additional features that will require about 3 gallons of black ink to print I certainly will not.

I can't say anything about the product in question, but: When I wanted to print my own (non-Traveller) star map on A1, I went to a local photo shop. Paid something like 20 Eur for it, and took a week because they don't print those sizes in their own local shop. The quality is really good (but that of course may vary). Probably much more satisfying than printing it on your own inkjet printer.

Anyway, just thought I'd pass this along.

The individual subsectors are already in print form in various books (at least for the currently available sectors). While it could certainly be done, would require about twice the work as just the full sector map...

Don't see layers happening, software in use wouldn't be able to do layering for PDF's.

So print on a laser printer and use toner instead...

Pretty much what I had in mind in terms of printing on a larger format printer.

Looking forward to the day when I can wallpaper my games room with them.
That is why I buy two copies, on to use 'in game' and one to trim up ready for
my future decorating project.

Traveller?
You print it, I'll buy it.
