We have just posted details of three new Legend book that will be appearing this coming May - a new setting in Historia Rodentia, a new series with Cities of Legend-Skarr: City of Orcs, and a brand new book for Elric, Secrets of the Steppes.

You can see details of them all at;

I'm a tad confused ... I thought the 'of Legend' titles were intended to become the collective SRD for Legend - but Skarr is a setting book.

Or is this the first OGL setting? Not that that would be bad.

Cities of Legend remain Open Content - they can be dropped into any existing setting, or be used to build your own!

The Tactical Abilities system, replaces Magic and Heroic Abilities.

Er... whats that?

The name comes from the Brushfire skirmish game, which Historia Rodentia takes it setting from. There is no Magic in Brushfire, but Heroes have several 'Tactical' or 'Heroic' abilities they can preform. In Brushfire, Tactical Abilities are normally Debuffs where as Heroic Abilities are Buffs for allies; in Historia Rodentia both types are collectively called Tactical Abilities.

Oh, okay - that's pretty cool, a sort of wilder and less-regulated version of Thieves' World ...

Quite interested in Skarr.
Very interested in Spidergod's bride.
Will swoop down and buy the Secrets of the Steppes as soon as it's available in a physical format. :)

Cities of Legend-Skarr: City of Orcs sounds like a good idea. Although this is presumably based on the old d20 product, it would be great if you could provide some information on Orcish culture in Legend and provide some hints on how to run an Orc-based campaign. (Personally, I kind of imagine Orcs in Legend as similar to Klingons in temperament, rather than the disposable brutes that they have become in many RPG settings).

If you are going to convert some d20 material across to Legend, how about Sheoloth?

Or what about the Infernum books - I'd love to run a game of political intrigue set in hell using the Legend rules where all of the characters are ambitious young demons. I actually think that this would work much better under Legend than under the d20 system...

Do we have a new date for "Spider God's Bride"? It seems to have dropped off the calendar.

Its due out July 2012 now.

Is that an official release date? Its really a shame that this book is taking so long to get out. Its a great setting/campaign, and is a perfect fit for Legend. Oh well, I'll just have to wait a little longer...

:(

I'm gagging for this book. I pre-ordered it back in October/November. More fool me for believing the original release date!

Would I be correct in saying that July 2012 is no more than a guess?
