In the basic rules any damage dice that rolled a 2+ is suppression, which can lose you a action...
But it does not cover types of weapon of solider state of mind, the following ideas i had in my head last night instead of sleeping..!!!
New Rules
Suppression is based on the type of weapons being used...
IE/
Single shot 5+
rapid fire 4+
burst 3+
full auto 2+
This would work very well in WW2 games...
WEAPON STATS
Kar 98 1d6 suppress 5+
M1 Rilfe 1d6 supress 4+
smg 2d6 supress 3+
mg42 3d6 supress 2+
bar 2d6 supress 3+
bren 2d6 supress 3+
Modern
m4 1d6 supress 3+
m16 1d6 supress 4+
pistol 1d6 supress 5+
shotgun 1d6 surpress 4+
ak47 1d6 surpress 3+
mp5 2d6 surpress 3+
saw 2d6 surpress 2+
STATE OF MIND
If you wished you could also add+1/-1 for untrained soldiers and Elite as well..
IE/
Usa marine shooting at insurgent in cover with m4
Insurgent 3+ now 5+ to hit in Cover ( if using untrained rules )
Any roll of 3+ will surpress, and hits on 5+
Insurgent shoots back at marine in cover
marine 4+ now 6+ in cover, supress on 4+
which is 3+ for ak +1 for higher trained soldier
As you can see from the above the marine shooting skill now shows, and the fact that when under fire is training pulls him though.
So what are your thoughts, i have not changed the basic Evo rules, but now you have shooting and training ( suppression )
This means for ww2 troop/weapon types and over periods like the falklands, troops stand out....
