I just want to double-check: If I pre-order this book from you here online at Mongoose, I can get the PDF version through the Bits and Mortar program? Or would I have to order it (and obviously show proof) from a local gaming shop? I'd prefer the online route, as the only store in town that participates is all the way across town...

I've had the lightest of skims and there is much to smile about in the new edition. It's great fun to see what made the cut in the final release.

One thing I thought might be missing is any record of Hull Points for the Common Spacecraft? A fairly crucial ship stat missing? Or did I miss them?!

Sorry for the bump but the ship hull points are bugging me. Are they missing, or under my nose?

So a 100t scout has 100 hull points, a 400t merchant has 400 etc.

Nope.

The ship will have 1 Hull point for every full 2.5 tons of hull.

I've searched the ebook and can't find that anywhere? This needs to be added to the core book somewhere, and prominently.

The space combat damage section mentions taking damage away from Hull, not hull points.

That 2.5 conversion is nowhere in the new core rules.

It will be in High Guard. It needs to be in the core book, or at least the actual Hull Points for the ships included.

Drat, Sigtrygg beat me to the post, however the only entry about hull points in Traveller Core Rulebook 2016 is found on p. 150 as shown below.

Hull Damage: Each lost Hull point can be replaced with
a Routine (6+) Mechanic check (1 hour, INT or EDU),
consuming one ton of spare parts for every 10 Hull
points repaired.

I'm not sure where to post this so I start here

I received an email that the new edition PDF has been updated. Following the link to My Library at DriveThruRPG I downloaded the file. Opening the Traveller_Core_ebook.pdf starts with the Table of Contents page instead of the cover.

Quick question: Is there a PDF of the 2nd Edition character sheet floating around? My download came with a jpg, but I'd prefer a PDF if one was available.

Opening the Traveller_Core_ebook.pdf starts with the Table of Contents page instead of the cover.

Just downloaded the update to the rulebook and sadly confirm that the cover is gone . It was such a nice cover as well and I really do prefer to have a cover on my PDFs.

I'm hoping the cover will return in a future update.
