Too true. Legend of the Rangers is far, far worse than any of the non-canon works.

This is what I meant by saying Mongoose has been more successful with B5 than JMS has been. Other than the original series, he has not come out with much more for B5 that has been a success.

That's right, no creator has the right to change or add to his own work, only the fans have "earned" that right. After all, you've invested so much energy in being a fan it's only right that you have the authority to say what direction your favorite work goes in.

Just think how horrible it would be if the creator of your favorite work had the right to change it according to his own vision, why that would invalidate the important vision you had in your own head!

Before Legend of the Rangers came out, I suspect many people were looking forward to that, too. The novels aren't out yet, I think hailing them as a success is a little premature.

You would

Though the point is valid. From what I read in VoP I was not as blown away as i was by say the Technomage trillogy

Not quite what I meant, butjust look at the contradictions Lucas has set up with the prequel trilogy, look at the mess he's made of the SE and DVD versions of the original trilogies. Often times going against his own preestablished canon.

I mean for goodness sake, do you really think it would have been that hard to have Greedo shoot first in the 1970s? No, he just didn't want all the new youngsters seeing Han as a bad guy straight off, but that's part f his charm, I mean the guy dresses in black and white for a reason!
