Nebie Questions and ideas

Hi, just bought the VaS book, and quite liked what I saw. Looks like a resonable quick playing system but has got enough depth to keep it interesting.

My question is though, how are the Prority levels balanced. Looking at some of the ships, was thinking how a KGV and an Iowa Class are worth the same? Seems kinda unfair.

Thought the best way to fix this is to increase the scale, make it each ship instead of being worth 1 war point, is instead make it worth 10 points. This would be ships like the Yamato, Iowa, and other supper battleships. For the Not quite so good War ships, drop them to 9 points. Same with the other priority levels, eg Mustang vs the Spitfire, etc.

Ideas? suggestions? Death Threats? :D

The problem is that the difference between a 9 point and a 10 point ship plain is almost nothing.

Having 1 point leftover for a fishing boat wont really make a difference. THe current system is a bit vague, but it works for how ships were fielded.

Ultimately, you're better off (and this goes for any wargame) of ditching any arbitrary points systems and just agreeing on what to field, or preferable, write a fun scenario and play it out

Yup, Scenario driven gaming is the way to go.

Thinks ~~ Now if everything came pre-painted, really cheap, excellent quality, with endless scenarios included, complete No add-on purchases and free updates.........

........... and back to the real world !!!
