The battlefield has three small asteroid fields. One of which conceals a station, believed to be of Ancient origin.

EA has deployed 50er cent of its force on the table. The remainder is holding in hyperspace.
The Narn has deployed all of its force on the battlefield.
An ISA White Star is holding in side of an asteroid field, observing.

The requisite sacrifices of cigars and rum have been made to Joboo.

The best of luck to both!

Two dee dee dee violations vs the E.A. during setup.

Turn One:
Narn win initiative.

The Narn are advancing on a broad front The EA are trying to use the asteroid fields for cover against emines. There is a small holding force of an Explorer ship and six smaller escorts on his right flank. A force of six Omegas, an Explorer, two Delphis and seven escorts are advancing on the left flank.
The Narn dice are rather mediocre. An additional offering of a cold beer is made to JoBoo. The dice improve.
Narn G'Vran fire salvos of emines and heavy weapons against the EAS Olympic (Omega) and the EAS Appolonic (Delphi). The G'Vran beam hits for 18 hits! Results of the combined volley is the destruction of both the Omega and the Delphi.. EA return fire is ineffective.
Turn one, net EA loss, one Omega, one Delphi, two Olympus. Their second Delphi is crippled.
The Narn have been hit but not badly.

One dee dee dee point vs the Narn for mislaying his tape measure.
One dee dee dee point vs the EA for mislaying his template.

Quick question in regards to the admirals, what was the criteria for placement, as I thought they had to be on the highest pl ship? G'Sten seems to have sneaked onto a less BinTak.

Huge game, hope it is playing through smoothly...

Turn two. Narn win initiative, giving first move to the EA.

The EA is not bringing in its reenforcements this time around.Having rolled for several squadrons, he is holding them in reserve in hyperspace. (allowed by me in this scenario)

The Omega force (sounds like a bad sci fi title) continues its sweep up the left flank and the Narn come in to meet them close up, taking out another Omega, two Artemis, and two Hermes.
The Narn have lost a Var'nic.

The Narn, anticipating EA reenforcements coming out of hyperspace so there center and left flank have come to All Stop.

Turn two ends the evening. Game will resume in the morning.

David, Anla Shok, reporting.

Rules say he goes onto a Bin'tak. Nothing is said about the Ka Bin Tak. The Narn player didn't ask to "upgrade him". As for playing smoothly, well, mostly. ;) I've kept the scenario simple so there is little room for arguement. It's their game. I'm just keeping it semi/quasi/partially organised.

Admiral Jean Luc reporting.

First 2 turns done and completed. David's reports of my deployment have been accurate, as have my losses up to this point. As for why my losses have been decidly lopsided to this point...

My inital deployment has only 3 Arma ponits on the board, consiting of scouts, Omegas, Artemis, and Olympus. The lions hoard of my fleet is waiting in hyperspace; Warlocks, Hyperions, Avnegers, Posiedons. All fighters from initall placement are offboard in hyerpsace. Hyperspace reseves are being worked a bit differently(which to be honest is going to make this game an extra turn or 2), I'm still waiting on Warlocks and a few Hermes to be come available as well.

The real beaut of this force is the full Arma points worth of breaching pod flights I have waiting in hyperspace as well, 72 in all. I'm hoping these will be enough to turn the battle in my favor, as I have enough to flood several Narn War PL ships at once, decrewing them and casuing crits along the way, without my ships ever having to fire a shot at them.

My list is a Hybrid 3rd Age/Crusade list; thus the Appollo's, Delphis, and the 48 Firebolts as well.

An additonal factor in my favor as that my forces in hyperspace have cause my opponent to essentially idle a significant part of force in anticipation of them jumping in, in the main firing emines as the launchers refresh. CBD has been my savior to this point. I've lost several ships, but CBD has kept my losses relatively light up this point (roughly 10 % is dead at this point). Once the rest of my fleet jumps in, I expect this to quickly swing to my favor.

Wish me the best of luck with this fellow EA players. Expect another report at the end of battle.

They were essentially free points-wise. Neither one of us wanted to spend points so the ref said take em.

Warleader G'sten reporting to the Kha-ri:

The Battle goes well. Surely G'quan smiles upon us. Very Few of Our Brave Narn warriors have gone beyond the rim thus far but we have met very little resisitance. Scanners have detected a Large EA fleet awaiting in Hyperspace but we are ready. We will crush these twisted humans as we crushed the Centauri. Fear not the galaxy shall be liberated and the oppressors will be stopped. I shall report again when the battle permits.

This is not an entirely accurate answer to your question. On page 47 Of the rule book "Warleader GSTEN raises may be placed in one of the following ships: Bintak class dreadnaught, G'quan Class Heavy Cruiser, T'loth class assault cruiser. Variants may be used of these ships."

It also says he raises ships priority lvl and cannot be used in any games after 2260. However weve broken most of the rules (Not paying for teh admirals etc etc so i guess i could have broken the rule here too but I chose to stick with it.

Sounds like it will get nasty once the rest of the EA fleet jumps in. Hope it all plays well. What size is the table you are playing on?

Oh by the way angelus2000, I'd be careful not to mention cats around David, Anla Shok. He might get the dog god to put a hoodoo on your EA as well.

I think the EA fleet might struggle with their current admiral, should have went with Admiral Kirk instead :D

I can hear Patrick Stewart's voice in my head: "Tactical analysis on Narn fleet mr. Worf!", "Omega Battlegroup, stand by to engage!" 8)

Will Shatner might say some thing like "Mr Sulu, I want them out of my stars... Now!"

Personally, I think I would have used a Grand Admiral in there. A short, blue Grand Admiral who gets his tactical inspirations from looking at Narn art...

Lord David the Denied said:
No, that's Gideon's line. Kirk would just say "Fire!" followed by "G'Steeeeeeeeeeen!"

If you're gonna imitate.. Gideon's not bad right?

The real Kirk will probably say: "Spock?" at the beginning of a battle.

Personally, I like Sisko best: "There's an old saying: fortune favors the bold. Well, I guess we're about to find out." 8)

Gentlemen,

There is still time to see the major portion of the game. We will be starting about 1400 (2 in the afternoon) MST US. Come join the fun.

As the 'lustrus po'entate of LEG, I'll probably head to the store to see to it that there are no members seeking a game o' FOW, then head over.

The table is about five by six. So yes, it's crowded but comfortable.

As for the Dawg Gawd.....
