NA: Few Questions

Hobbs

Mongoose
Hey all, I just have a few quick questions for Noble Armada. Picking up the game and waiting for my order to arrive, so it leaves me with plenty of time to go over the rules. But I might not of done a good job cause the Mrs. had her friends over and we were drinking wine whiel I was reading...lol anyways.

First, when it comes to Gatling Lasers (I don't have my book in front of me cause I'm at work, but if I'm wrong, then the defensive lasers), are they able to shoot at every instance of incoming hostiles? If I read it correctly, they get to shoot at Fighters, then Missiles, Rockets, Torpedoes, and then lastly Troops in every turn? Or do they have to pick a specific instance and go after that?

Also, with Gatling Lasers, if their arc is not in the facing that is being attacked, do they still contribute their 3 AD? Or is it just a standard 3 AD no matter what?

Second. Critical Damage. Now I believe that for every critical hit in the same function for the ship (shields, reactor, etc), you increase that by 1. So Critical 2 becomes Critial 3. So say if an attack rolled 4 criticals against a ship, and for some explanatory reason they all hit the Crew, would those hits stack to go up to Critical 4?

Third. Damage Control. If a ship repairs itself successfully and another critical hit is taken in that same section, does the extra damage incurred get applied again?

Thanks for looking and I'll be posting more once I read through it again!

gatling lasers can fire against everything
the attack has to be in their arc though which is usually port or starboard.

yes if you got 4 crits on crew then it would go upto level 4 doing 1+3+3+d6 damage and all effects upto that point.

yes extra damage gets applied even after repairs. you repaired the system but it got blown again.

And this is why boarding any big capital ship through it's broadside is generally a baaaaaad idea.
