Multiple Attacks

I am not sure, but where does it cover multiple attacks in the Core book. I am gone from home now, and will be for about a week.

I know third edition let you split your attack when it was over 100%. I do not have the book for reference, and I really want to work something out that involves this.

Forgive the brain-fart. I wish my job was just playing and DMing RPG's...

I think you are referring to the flurry. Which states you can use up your remaining combat actions in one action at a -20 to all attacks to a single target.

Are talking about multiple targets?

Sort of both, I remember the flurry, but was not sure how it went in game terms. What about multiple targets?

It would really help if I had the book here.

You can't split your attack in MRQ - multiple attacks are represented by multiple CAs.

Once your weapon skill exceeds 100%, you're getting into the realm of a precise attack every round, which is a very nice position to be in.

A flurry can target multiple opponents though.

That was my preminition. Take more CA's for attacks, that made sense, as each CA for an attack gets a single attack...

Thanks

I stand corected. Is that adjacent opponents? I don't think I would allow a flurry on two people that were not directly next to eachother.

Well a Flurry allows you to use all your CAs in one go. There have been numerous debates as to whether or not that means Attack actions only, or whether you can include other actions in there too. If using the latter, you could attack with one CA, move with another, and then attack a second character. If not, then it could only be against opponents within reach, which as you say means adjacent opponents.

Yeah, I see your logic. But I think I take it as just attacks. (-20) represents wildly swinging for speed.

I think it could work your way as well, but there should be some penalty for trying to do a quick swing, then immediatly turn to run to swing. Remember this is all taking place within 5 sec.

That doesn't mean it can't happen, mabey you'll have to roll acrobatics (-20) to simulate a quick pivot.
