Most powerful league fleet

I am thinkng about adding a league fleet to my finally finished Narns. For those of you with experience with Legaue, and some insights into 2e updates, which fleet do you think is most competitive? Which one is the most fun to play?

Presume I'd be playing it as a single fleet, not a conglomerate of different races "best ships".

Most competitive? Brakiri!

Fun to play? Brakiri! 8)

In my opinion, there is no contest - the Brakiri are spoiled for choices, and have some awesome ships as well.

1) The miniatures look good.
2) Their ships have a 12" range secondary weapon (with AP!)
3) The Avoki :shock: (It's one hard ship to kill)

Most importantly, the broad range of ships available to the fleet will not leave your homogeneous fleet lacking in any one area.

Of course, that is just my biased opinion...

I don't know that they're the most powerful/cheesiest :lol: but the brakiri do have the "most variety" category locked up for the league.

Something about a Front arc Double Damage, 24" Beam with 10 AD, it has got to be one of the best Beam weapons in the game, it's one bad point is that it is slow Loading, but given that what ever was in the way is more than likly space dust it really dosen't matter.

The Brakiri are a nice fleet with some very nice models.

They re all decent choices, even if the abbai were a bit nerfed.
Your best option is to play the all like I do. Mixed fleets are a great deal of fun

probably the most fun fleet ive ever played.

nice powerful weapons and quick. However you really got to think about your positioning and future moves cos with those low hull scores you cannot stand up to a pounding.

plus 'lol flying saucers'!

heehee I will not spam but in tru drazi spirit I would continue stating 'GREEN iz da best' and expect you to like wise for PURPLE till the next 5 year electorial rolls in and we settle it like drazi gentlemen at the 'poles'

just reminds me the only scene i liked in that silly ranger movie, where the 2 drazi start shoving each other, guess the rest of the show made it gold.

Seriously though I woulnt say any one league fleet was more powerful than the others, though possibly Abbai are a tad weaker at the moment:

Brakkiri: very tough big ships and a heck of alot of choice too

Drazi: fast agile ships brimming with beams and surprisingly hard to kill. And numerous

Gaim: Very much a one trick pony. Fighters fighters and more fighters. Theyve got some very nice weapons too though and their suicide fighters are nasty. Also potentially horrible in boarding actions.

Pak'Ma'Ra: Can't really comment as Ive never really looked at them much or played with or against them. But from what I hear think lots of very powerful short ranged firepower.

Vree: Floats like a butterfly, stings like a tactical nuclear strike to the face. Get swatted like a butterfly too though if your not careful with them.

In 2nd edition, I would likely say the Brakiri and the Vree are the toughest, with the Pakmara and the Drazi a very close second. The Gaim can be very nasty too. The abbai are the weak sisters.

Pak'mara are the most powerful league fleet. Because they can take ships froma ll the other fleets without losing initiative ^^ .

Now individually Brakiri simply have the best fleet list to choose from. Gaim have the worst (i think). But powerwise i would rate them mostly equal. Abbai seem dunno, because of the Bimith being less powerful, but i havent formed an opinion on shields yet.
