More About Cythrons

Standing-Stone

Banded Mongoose
Although, it's not entirely on topic here. I couldn't have thought of a better place to ask this.

Right at the start of Slaine Time-killer.

It goes about war that Cythrons - Demonic Aliens - waged milllion of years ago for mastery of the stars and lost. Thus becoming exiled to a hell-hole that we know ias Earth in th distant past. ( Cythrawl.)

I wonder... who did they wage war with?

My guess it may be other Eldar gods such as the ones worshipped by the people of Danu.

Thats highly debateable, though.

I second your wish, though there is a dedicated forum for this (what should Mongoose publish next).

Reading the latest 'Signs and Portents' article, "The Cult of Myrddin" which is something leaning towards more of what I would like to be seeing in the game rules and in future articles. some very interesting 'expanded' material one og my most faovurtite characters.

Why mention him here, then?

Well, as you may know and as also pointed out in the article, as well as in the comic itself. Myrddin. is half Cythron by his father the great Guldigg and I was hoping to hear more about there mysterious entities in the
near future.

Why would I be so anxious to know more about these things?

Well, it's just the way they were presented in the sotry. Some sort of otherworldly demons that I couldn't otherwise pigeon hole.

Anyway, as it says that he is hated by his kind who have been described as Cyths and then Cythron's.

I was wondering what makes a Cyth distinct from a Cythron?

Though, there may be a possibility that this information might be provided in the main rule book or perhaps a future supplement.

Otherwise I could work theses things out for myself. Though, I expect more than few of the writers here may disagree with me.

So once again the ball is in yours/their court.

Becuase as it is, I don't have any really bright ideas here.

Though, I have found afew things regarding El worlds ( Hollow earth Theory.) and the four root races breifly outlioned at the start of 'Time-Killer'. The four acient people/enitities, pone of which are said to be connected to the Atleantean based Rmoahals. Surprisingly these have been mentioned in other science fiction and non fiction writings of
which I found access to.

Under different names of course.

This what I now hope to be developing, refining and then submitting for the competition, if the powers that be at Mongoose find it relevant enough.

The Cyth are the Cythron gods or High Cythrons. Guledig. Aten. Grimnismal. Sorog. Niohoggar. Gomboo.

The Cythrons are the grunts.

At least how I am putting it all together

That is cool.

I forgot all those names were mentioned "Time-Killer".

Of course, I know the first one. Who happens to be Myrddin's Cyth father.

Guledig, which happens to mean 'The Great Ruler or High King' of Britain of something like that.

The Aten. That is supposed to be 'The Great Sun Disk' of Egyptian mytholodgy.

Grimnismal. One of the many identities of the Norse God Odin and described as the soiled Prince of Thrones from pages of 'Time-Killer'.

Sorog - The one without pity -whose crimes shamed a star-system.

Niohoggar - The galactic gourmet who tried to suck the cosmic egg.

The Dreaded Gomboo - The World Doppelganger.

These last three also taken from the pages of 'Time-Killer' also sound so weird that they seem to made up or perhaps they too are barely known
Norse gods.
