Mongoose Joins Forces with Rebellion for Evolution Games

Quit the fanboy talk and let's get real here, I know you know what im on about Hiromoon, you may not care about this issue, but it doesn't change the fact they got it wrong.

Did you get hit by the irony stick? Complaining about the rifle being slightly different (and in being so, making it consistent with the rest of the minis) is JUST as fanboy as defending the choice to change it.

Also, while I think Scipio has a point, his method of delivering it it not the wisest - the constant snippy remarks are little more than flamebait, and just fodder for people like Evil and Tneva who defent MGP with terminal intensity to come in and hit back with OMG! AER U DRUNK!? or UR A GW TROLL!, which just leads to more inanity from both sides.

Calm measured discussion is always preferable.

Anybody here a command and conquer fan? I was disappointed when the game didn’t feature a more realistic storyline. Perhaps one of the projects for Mongoose and Rebellion would be for the creation of a similar game, but instead based on Battlefield Evolution?

Oh yes. And what fluff you guys could work with, perhaps America’s military misadventures would give rise to campaign ideas for such a game. After all, the first mission for America was in Baghdad before the Iraq War began.

On a side note was Battlefield Evolution inspired by Command and Conquer Generals? Maybe Battlefield 2? Or perhaps the Euro-game War on Terror? Or a combination of all? Kekeke…

You cant say Light Infantry from the film or from the book. Theres only one kind of light infantry in SST and thats from the film.

There's also no reason to make 2 different kinds of morita sculpts...

"Yeah we have this look of morita and then we have this...Which one you like to field?"

Ah! A voice of reason. Well done, Lorcan!

I must indeed apologize to everyone for my style of delivery: not the most well-thought-out post(s) I have ever written. I guess my knee-jerk reaction was "Ah-HA! Yet MORE evidence that MGP isn't being candid!"

I am trying, I am REALLY trying to give MGP a chance: I even ordered a squad of Marines for BF:Evo just so I can see the pre-paints for myself before I judge. I guess what I'm having a hard time overcoming is the sense of utter betrayal I have felt since all the SST fiascos. What I experienced in my business career is irrelevant in this particular situation, so I'm just going to watch. And hope.

I guess I'm just entirely too passionate about SST, and passion often leads to strong words. I just have to accept that I'm not the one driving the train in this case. And if you haven't already noticed, I'm a very strong Type A personality...

Again, my apologies to everyone.

Regards.

I hope not. The SST comics were pretty bad in my eyes.

Poor storylines, poor characters, and the art was only okay.

Not to insult those involved in making it, as from my own experience making comics is hard work.

But, even for an action based comic, it was really lacking.

I would have LOVED it, to be honest, if there had been like 300% more bug killing.

It was like the second movie, but with much higher production values.

Okay FIRST of all the SST comics had nothing to do with Rebellion's 2000AD writers/artists. If Rebellion had anything to do with Evolution games, they would obviously hire the fine writers and artists from 2000 AD.
