Minor Niggles that Should be Changed in V2

Maybe the nial actually has a true version of stealth instead of jammers there big ships use or maybe he doing a run silent maneuver & thought would be cooler to say engaging stealth instead of running silent. Even EA knew when the Minbari were around as they could detect their stealth emissions or in other words that their sensors were being jammed.

Moore Manouvers for Fighters like Skindance Light for every one. its easy to come so close that the weapons of an large Ship can´t shoot at you.

Make the Vorchan something to be feared like in the show

Strange i look true all episodes the vorchan is only a scout and was not feared Beside you mean an VorHa Klingon cruiser.

Erm what show were you watching then? Not once is the Vorchan reffered to as being a scout. Secondly its the only ship we actually SEE aside from a few Primus/Secundus. Also when we DO see them they tend to be utterly vicious, blasting appart Drazi, Brakir, even a G'Quan in a suprise attack in 'In the Beginning'. Now Im sure people will pipe up with 'oh but that was the Dusk Coutari and a weaker G'Quan varient, and the others were Demos'. Fair enough on the Dusk coutari (though the rules were only made for that cos the Vorchan didnt measure up....). As for the Demos, that would be a valid point were it not for the fact they utterly suck at the moment and also need fixing.

And its Vor'Cha for the Klingon attack cruiser ;)

I think we never heard name for the Warship tha is now the Vorchan/Demos.

Until today, I cannot understand why AOG once declared that there are two ships who look identical but have different weapon layouts. The Vorchan was never really good, as there were a Morgath Variant able to fulfill all purposes of the Vorchan, but better. And even the Demos never had a chance to threaten a G'Quan, it was too underarmed back in B5W for that. 2 Demos perhaps, but not one.

I would like to see Mongoose completely going away from the old B5W buildups for the Centauri and begin their own layout closer to the show and more in canon with it.

Given the advent of the new fighter rules; the existing 'escort ships' need to be actually made effective - take the Esharan for instance (the Minbari anti-fighter frigate). 5 inch range anti-fighter weapons are pointless now - no fighter is going to sit within 5 inches of you without being on your ship and attacking you (which you can do nothing about until afterwards - assuming you survive) - rendering these weapons (and indeed, all AF weapons without a range of about 10 inches) pointless.

The idea of escort ships is to be able to shoot fighters down before they reach the escorted ship, not protect the burning hulk which is left after the fighters have done their bit.

Well simply put the reason they made the Demos was in season 5 when you see the Vorchan fleet open up on the drazi they do so with all these strange homing mine/missile thingies, so AoG (as they had a habit of doing), made up a varient of Vorchan that had these. You have to remembner that B5 was made while B5 was still in its original run, so if a ship did something later on that the original version couldnt they had to come up witha varient that was like the new version.

Anyway as to Vorchan/Demos vs G'Quan as per the movie:

In the movie the Centauri ship jumps in directly behind the G'Quan and hits it with EVERTHING at point blank range. Now, I will admit that is is rather unlikely in B5wars but a Vorchan COULD (and a Demos could fairly easily) rip the aft off a G'quan with a single full turns firing and take the ship out (maybe 2 or 3 tunrs more realistically to fully toast it but lets not forget how short a timespan B5Wars turns are actually supposed to represent ;)). Its also not impossible that it could have been very lucky andhit primary with all its initial shot and blown the G'Quan to pieces. The piont is it CAN happen. (also of note incidentally a Demos or Vorchan could just as easily get very lucky in ACTA as it stands and toast the G'Quan with crits).

The point overal is, I dont think the Vorchan or Demos need altering because theyre 'not quite right for the screen version' I think they need uping because they frankly suck compared to other choices in the centauri list and are pretty much THE iconic Centauri ship and Id like to see more of them used!

It should perhaps be noted that the Vorchan showed a vastly superior success rate to the Primus, which (apart from when bombing defenseless planets with larges rocks) only appeared once without getting blown up, and that was as the Emperor's personal space taxi...

Is this The centaurie is the Munchkin fleet tread? It looks for me so if i read the hole time Centaurie ship blow up drazi vorlon etc. We play B5 and not hale to imperator Molari.

When we go realy correct the crew calue of the Centaurie must be reduced in the show its often mention that the centaurie are more in partys and trinking games then in training.

I think it´s a comnination of both points - sure, the questionable strength of the ships alone should be reason enough for an update; but the game is still the adaption of a TV series, and should represent the ships from the screen accordingly

The funny thing with the vorchan was the stats were fine, there was no they are too tough complaints but then they got changed for some bizarre reason. Lots of firepower is fine if it's fragile if it's not eg a Prefect it's just plain broken.

Hm ever gone to an optical Doctor? YOu need a pair of glases.

After all it looks for me that some people here want the rule automatic win if an centaurie is playing. Then other i can´t understand this centaurieship blah blah.
