Minng Laser

I don't have all of the books yet, but I had asked if there was a turret mounted mining laser for Mongoose (similar to GURPS traveller and other systems)
Somebody posted a mining laser out of Beltstrike and possible Vargr... not sure.... anyway it does 7d6 damage.
Is this a "personal" sized weapon or a "ship sized" turret weapon? (noting that ship weapons are multiplied by 50 when used against people)

My players want to install a mining laser in a turret to help cut apart space-hulks, asteroids, etc...
But if the mining laser mention in Belt strike is "personal sized" wont the damage be DIVIDED by 50 when used against a "ship sized" object?
