Miniature Carry Cases Best Suited For B5?

I play Warhammer 40,000 so I've always used army cases to transport my miniatures. But now that I've got a B5 fleet rather than try and fit them into my GW case I would prefer to buy a case seperately for my 2 fleets that was more suited to carry them?

So does anyone know of any miniature carry cases that are best suited for B5 miniatures? (my fleets are ISA and EA Crusade Era with mega carrier if that helps)

I use Sabol Army Transports for just about everything. Most ships fit into the 1.5" foam trays. A few (Avioki, and bigger) require larger.

j.,

I just use what I've always used - toolboxes and bubble wrap.

Then again, if I was halfway-capable with a paintbrush I have to admit I'd have found a better solution!

I just cut some 3inch foam to the size of a box, then cut spaceship shaped holes in the foam. I've not had a problem. Of course over the course of my collecting that one box has turned to three. :)

I'll second (third, fourth, whatever) the Sabol Army case. I have a Motor pool, with a layer of 4" foam (Victories, most of a Gaim fleet, Marathons, Tara Lins and Whitestar carriers (mostly vertical), then a layer of 2" foam holding most of my EA and ISA fleets, then a 1.5" layer for my Narn fleet. All told about 100 ships plus fighters and bases.
I favor the Warstore;

I did this too, but put the foam in metal cases bought from B&Q. Two cases which carry around 2 fleet boxes in each cost about £30.

For those of us with more than five or ten ships......
Nice, stackable, plastic boxes from our local mass market store (WallyWorld). Most ships fit in it (anything other than the Victory or Sharlin classes of ship), they are inexpensive, about 4 bucks U.S. and they stack really high without losing stability. My B5 stack is 18 boxes tall and two other stacks as well (Fantasy Battle, 40K, and BFG) without any leaning or other such problems.
All of my ships are on sheet metal bases, the boxes are lined with magnetic plastic on the bottom. For most casual travel the are perfectly fine. For airline travel, you'll need something with dividers, foam or bubble wrap.

Hmm many nice ideas... But I noticed most people who play with their ships stay away from attaching the finer detail pieces (eg. sharlin guns, primus and warlock antennas).

Any advise for a guy who does put on all the tiny parts?

I need help on getting my ships moved safely. I'll be moving out in a few months, and still havent figured out how to do it right.

Thanks before m(_ _)m

Sorry to disallusion you but most of us at least try to attach the bitz. Magnets allow you to keep the ships apart but maximise your storage space.

What kind of magnets attached where? Plz elaborate David, Im in the blind here.

Well, Ok, maybe I'm overgeneralizing but I see a lot o pics where sharlins are without the guns and Primus are without antennas. Or maybe because I dont like them that way and that's why they stuck in my head. >.<
