M2 Bradley stats

If you are giving it the M242, M240 & TOW the unit is going to be a lot closer to 300 pts than 200. It has massive anti-infantry and deadly anti-tank plus APC ability. Look at the Tunguska it has 8d6 MG with weaker armor and is 280. Surely the d10 AA ability isn't that expensive.

You say that, but a dedicated AA platform is probably going to be the most specialised capability around. But no you are right it is a little cheap, I would suggest it has some between 2/3 - 3/4 of the fighting capacity (including the APC role) of an M1A2, this would translate into something between 255 and 320 points.

This sounds pretty good. I just picked up 2 Forces of Valor 1/72 scale bradley's. They seem to be a pretty good fit. I haven't seen any stats for the Warrior here in the States. Can someone tell me where I can find the wave 2 stat cards?

The official cards aren't out to the masses. There are some floating about from the Open Day event at Mongoose's HQ. The final playtesting stats are on homemade cards done by Hiromoon are easily arranged here:

I would think that the Bradleys Kill no should be less than the Warrior - currently they seem to be surviving combat in Iraq better than the Bradley, but then they would be easier to kill than the WZ which is just a wheeled bus......

The M2 does float, I had a freind that was at Fort Knox when they found out what was making them sink....some one kept forgeting to put the drain plugs back in.

Isn't the .50 a d6+1 weapon? I'd think a 25mm would be at LEAST d6+2, especially since the 25mm's on the LAV-25 chewed up BMP's in that light armor battle north of Baghdad in '03. And didn't some Bradleys engage and defeat T-55's in Afghanistan?

I'm guessing any T-55s defeated by a Bradley had a LOT more to do with the TOW missile launcher than the 25mm auto-cannon. And for the record, diameter does not always equate to damage done. (A 5.7mm pistol round can defeat several layers of Kevlar Armor, while a 9mm won't get through even one). Although, having said this, I'd say from what I've witnessed the Bradley's cannon appears to do more damage than the "Ma Deuce." I've just never witnessed a side-by-side imperial test to verify my sometimes fuzzy memory.

Anybody out there still have access to both weapons systems and can stage a test? Perhaps we should email "gunny" on the History Channel's "Mail Call" program and ask him to compare them? :wink:

T-55 has max 120mm hull armor - much less from the side. From a close range (say, under 500 meters) the M919 APFSDS-T round should be able to penetrate the T-55 hull armor with ease. It is a vehicle that right now falls into the "lightly armored" category.

True, but if you had a TOW launcher, would you allow a T-55 to get within it's main-gun's range of you just so you could "light him up" with your auto-cannon?

Depends if you are on the move or not. Depends on how you find the T-55.

I certainly wouldn't charge T-55 with Bradley, but if one suddenly popped up in autocannon's effective range and the TOW launcher was empty..
