Ah who dares wins, an hour of truly awful film and terrible acting followed by 20 minutes of cool SAS building storming :D

From what I've heard, the lead actor was in the TA and went for SAS testing, passed all the tests, but wasn't accepted as he was too high profile.

I still like the movie though

I'd like to give Mongoose the benefit of the doubt (they were very good at replacing missing SST parts) but the impression I got was: Sorry, but you're on your own. Not because they wouldn't do anything but because, at the moment anyway, they couldn't do anything.

We're in the process of identifying the damages to the miniatures delivered to our UK office. We are hoping that this will let us replace parts of models that may have pieces missing. I'd like to be in a position at the end of the week to know what spare parts we can make up.

Well, it's the end of the week. Any news?

That makes me say "I'm sticking to my Corgi M1A1 tanks."

Cheap Plentiful and well done. Just like the chow hall at MCAS New River! LOL

Oh, more or less the same.

The BF:Ev figures are true 25mm

The BF:Ev vehicles are 1/72 (give or take), so it fits pretty much the same. If I could have afforded it, I would have bought the diecast metal Abrams (Less than $20.00 retail!!) and would have had a better comparison beyond pressing the tank firmly agianst the packaging and comparing the two.

Also, the metal one has a elevating barrel.

the Corgi's are listed at 1/64 scale.

Measurements are:
Imperial/English
2 1/4 inches wide
4 13/16 inches long 6 inches even to the end of the gun
1 1/2 inches to the top of the turret

Metric
appox 56mm wide
approx 121mm long approx 152mm long to the end of the gun
approx 38mm to the top of the turret

You can get the blasted thing for about 15USD on ebay

Evil had pictures of his when he did a comparison a few weeks back.

I'm going to use the money I save to bolster my PLA!

Too bad the range is sooo limited - how do they compare size wise with the mongoose M1 - from the pics Mr. Evil posted - they look dead on same size

i still got a MGP one as il need that if i wish to use or lend the tank for a touney.

FYI: all of the models that my FLGS received had all their parts. The paint jobs that I checked looked alike also. I have a demo at my other FLGS and I'll see how they did.

Mongoose mailed me my missing stat card from Brit Inf today, only asked for it on Saturday so they must have posted it after reading the email.

Good to know they're customer support is so good.
