M1A2 missing piece (pics)

Mongoose
All the USMC M1A2s that my FLGS received (three total) are missing the cage surrounding the stowage on the turret bustle:

Any chance of getting the missing piece, even unpainted? I was going to order another three tanks but I'll hold off until this is corrected.

*scratches his chin* Well....you've obviously been issued a 132.24-2A when you should have been issued a 214.21-A.... Submit a Form 23S to Logistics and wait five days.

Gawddammit! I submitted a form 23R! I probably just volanteered for the Army's Anthrax vaccine test program... :?

your LGS should be able to exchange them via their distributer, as for you, just wing MGP a message, and there see you good.

More like NCIS and JAG involvment

They probably will once they get production going to a point where they have extras to break apart for parts.

Mongoose was pretty good with their bits service. I could order up extra parts to turn some extra box set PAMI into Pathfinders. Which I'm actually going to do assuming the pathfinders are still in SSTE.

OK, I heard from Alex Fennell this morning (via email) and he said that no extra parts are available. Apparantly they've shipped every model they had. Guess I'll get a replacement from my LGS and take off the missing part to put on mine (I've already done a lot of customizing on it).

Did he mention what the customers / stores are supposed to do if they get these with missing parts? I doubt they want us to "live with it".

I'd like to give Mongoose the benefit of the doubt (they were very good at replacing missing SST parts) but the impression I got was: Sorry, but you're on your own. Not because they wouldn't do anything but because, at the moment anyway, they couldn't do anything.

We're in the process of identifying the damages to the miniatures delivered to our UK office. We are hoping that this will let us replace parts of models that may have pieces missing. I'd like to be in a position at the end of the week to know what spare parts we can make up.

Hope you US types get it sorted out soon.

Just makes me glad I went Brit

Well that and the SAS, though if I evr buy into the USMC and get some Force Recon I'll be naming them after characters from Heartbreak Ridge.

Which reminds me, really must buy Who Dares Wins on DVD
