Sadly, I expect no further updates until it comes back online at some indeterminate time in the future. Communication isn't one of their strong suites.

I do. I do IT for a living. We had a week of downtime for a system conversion.

It’s all about communication. You let people know you’re doing it and you keep them updated as to what’s going on. I’m not sure what level of communication was going on. Is this a move from servers run by Marc to servers run by Mongoose? Is this just a server upgrade? Migration from physical servers to cloud perhaps?

But there should be a plan where you realize you can’t proceed and you bring the old servers back up and reschedule.

Also, just because you company gives you holidays doesn’t mean you get to take advantage of them. Some people are roles that doesn’t afford them time off or that makes them on call during time off.

The company I work for has some roles like that. They do not automatically get the holidays but they have a higher number of personal PTO days. This allows them to have as many days off, just not always July 4 or Presidents Day Weekend etcetera.
