Looking to add to my fleets

Mongoose
I often see people on here posting what they are selling. I thought I'd put out a feeler and see if people have a few minis they'd part with so I could add to my fleets. I currently have the starter sets for the Narn and Centauri fleets. I'd love to add more, especially to the Centauri fleet. Also, I'm looking for some ships to start an EA fleet. Ultimately, I'd like to get my hands on an Explorer ship as well.

I don't have any Narn but EA and Centauri are the fleets planning on painting next. I may well have some ships spare as I try to trim my fleets down to 5 points War.

I have the EA and Centauri reinforcements box sets, plus a few blisters. Let me know if you are after any ships in particular.

Cheers

James

Putting an exact wish list would probably help vs a broad "need EA" request.

Plus, you're not stateside are you?

I'm in the States. Washington State to be exact. :)

Regarding what I want: I'd love it if I could find a copy of the EA Starter Fleet. Any EA ships will do, however, as I'm just looking to start a fleet.

Centauri: Always looking for more Vorchans. Would love to get my hands on some of the bigger ships too (one of these days, I'll have an Adira!). And more fighters are always nice to have.

I guess I'm a little confused. I got into this game when Mongoose had the rights and renamed it A Call to Arms. My understanding was that because there were two different companies involved, they each had their own line of miniatures. Was this not the case? I assumed that the AoG minis were of a different scale than those sold by Mongoose (and later Iron Winds), but when I look at the AoG website, they look to be the same. Can someone help me figure this out? :)

BTW: The fleets I have were all purchased under Mongoose's ACTA moniker.

I believe most of the molds used by Mongoose were the original ones that AoG used, except for ships that AoG never produced or for molds that wore out and Mongoose had to replace.

AoG also put out a smaller scale called Fleet Action that IWM also produced for a while.

I also seem to remember that there is some slight size difference in some of the ships between AoG and Mongoose/Iron Winds - was it the hyperions, anyone?

The stuff still being sold on the old AoG site is the left over stock after AoG went out of business. What is currently "in stock" changes from week to week as they sell out what they have or find more stock hidden in boxes in their warehouse (that's how I got my Shadow cruisers).

IWM size v Mongoose, more than the hyp, I own a Primus and a G'Quan that were from new IWM moulds and are 5 / 10 % bigger than my Mongoose ones, I use (d )them for command variants

The IWM Hyperion is about the same size as the Mongoose one, but is better detailed, especially on the turrets. The bridge disc is smaller; judging by pictures and screen shots I've seen, the IWM size is more accurate. The block under the bottom turrets which serves as a mounting point for the stand is also smaller.
