Fall-In, November 3 2012. Lancaster PA, USA.

A 2-part ACTA:SF scenario, being run by Bill Stec on Saturday November 3. Times are 1p-5pm (Part 1), and 6p-10pm-ish (Part 2). Part 1 is planned to be less intense as the Feds try to evade the Klingons on the way to raiding a Klingon Research center. Part 2 focuses on the actual raid on the Research center and should be fairly bloody.

See here for more info:
http://www.fall-in.org/

The Preliminary Event list should be out on or about Sept 11, 2012.

I'm trying to see if I can get an ACTA:SF event added to the NOVA Open for 2013. I'll send you more details as they develop.

That's great! Keep 'em coming! If we can get you more folks at your events, then everyone benefits. :)

Very preliminary battle report.

Part 1 had 6 players, and the Feds actually won, dashing towards the opposite map edge. They lost 2 ships, and would have probably lost their DN. They needed to exit the map with 7 ships out of their original 11, and managed that. For a convention scenario, the fact that everyone actually tried to meet their "objective" rather than go into a furball with every man for himself was rather amazing. Though losing a ship to the advancing "deadline to keep the Fed ships moving along" probably had something to do with that. :)

Alas, it didn't work out that way at all for Part 2. It turned into a 7-player extended furball, with nearly everyone ignoring the objective (raid on a defended planet to destroy a Klingon Research facility). The Feds did find out how painful Phaser Ground Bases (Phaser-4) and DefSats can be if you ignore them and let them fire on you willy-nilly with no return fire. :D The Klingon defending ships did their job well, losing some ships but buying precious time for reinforcements to arrive, and the planetary defenses to do their job (effectively, I might add). :)

But fun was had, ships went boom, and everyone seemed to have a good time so there you go. Sometimes the best laid plans of men go wonky with convention players. I was too busy to take much in the way of notes, but I got a few pictures and will post them when I can.
