Looking for Conan Artists

EricKRod

Mongoose
Anyone interested in having their artwork printed in a new book by Vincent Darlage and Eric Rodriguez, please send resume and sample of artwork.

This will be pro bono work for the first book. It is a Conan book coming out under the Flaming Cobra logo. This is an opportunity for new artists looking to have their name published with one of the greatest Conan RPG writers of all time.

Please contact Eric at: ericrodriguez123@comcast.net or Erodriguez@casinosnoqualmie.com

Good luck on the search Erick! I passed your message on to Conan.com/ - hope that is okay. 8)

Now - what hints can you tell us about this book? Is it a new system?

What kind of book is that?

Sounds interesting? I'm going to really think about this.

So, what sort of art your looking for? B&W or colored? I hope its B&W, as I have not been too happy with past colored art, especially the ones colored in by Photoshop (the one on page 134 of the Ruins of Hyboria really hurts my eyes! @_@). B&W works so well with Conan art - that and naked chicks! ;)

I'll send you guys something as soon as I'm off this massive project. Work has been friggin CRAZY. My boss actually wanted us all back to work full blast one day after Ike, when roughly 99% of all customers with electricity were without it - like 3million people. I've been busting my ass ever since and went 12 days w/o power at home myself, hopping from one place to another just to work. Thus the delays in the map too, Vincent.

I'll have to sketch and scan stuff because that's all I have time for, but if I can dig up some inked works I'll send that your way too.

Flaming cobra????

Flaming Cobra is a new imprint by Mongoose Publishing, designed to bring the very best of PDF and 'Indy' RPG publishers to a wider market in your local games stores and book shops.

I know wht Flaming Cobra is but I also know that is Conan leaves d20 I will stop buying Conan sourcebooks

And I'll buy more of them ;)

Honestly, have no fear, as this new book is not replacing the Conan line. We don't even know what we're talking about.

Sweet. Nice to see Vincent and Eric back with Conan. I'm buying the book regardless of its system.

Any new Conan stuff is good news.

And LucaCherstich, don't be a girl and start whining and blackmailing Mongoose again whith those "if you change, I quit" crap. There's already 34 pages of this in the "What if Conan leaves for another system".

This product will probably be a non D20 Conan product, but remember it's outside the main Conan range, so it is clear you don't have to fear for the 2nd Edition D20 Conan line.

My bets are on Vincent's MRQ conversion. I'm glad Erik's on the project too...

I know I'll be there for this new book...

It's hardly blackmail. And I think you'll find that most of the 34 pages in the What if...? thread are to do with 4th ed vs 3.X and whether roleplaying suffers under more complex rules.

Personally I think this will be a 'pilot run' for Mongoose. There was a 'we have no plans at this moment' comment from one of the staff not so long ago and 'at this moment' is a politician's way of saying 'but maybe soon'. If the 'pilot' sells well, they'll be more inclined to switch so they can move away from d20 to streamline the range of rules they write for. Some people will welcome the switch, should it happen, others will regard it as something of a betrayal because they'll have invested considerable amounts of money into a system that is then dropped.

But if this is so I'm surprised Vincent, who said elsewhere that his group would not play Conan if it moved from d20, would be instrumental in its potential demise. So maybe it ain't so, or maybe he just changed his mind.

And that is why I stop reading it after 5 or so pages!
